Prevention and recovery of episiotomy during childbirth

Many women who give birth naturally need episiotomy during childbirth to prevent the fetus from being too large and difficult to deliver. The wound from episiotomy after childbirth is very difficult to recover because it is in the private part. Here are some ways to care for the wound after episiotomy during childbirth.

This is actually the most worrying, concerning and difficult-to-talk-about private issue for many expectant mothers and new mothers. To some extent, this is the crux of what women are most concerned about when it comes to whether to have an episiotomy and whether it is good or not. Many expectant mothers will have concerns of one kind or another: episiotomy will leave a wound on the genitals, and the husband will not like it if he sees it when the two of them are intimate in the future; after all, episiotomy will cause trauma to the vagina, which will affect future sexual life... There are also new mothers who have experienced episiotomy and are very insecure about themselves. They either think the wound is ugly or that the vagina is loose, and they always suspect that their husbands will dislike it.

In fact, for most people, this is a misunderstanding. The main purpose of episiotomy is to open an opening at the end of the birth canal to allow the fetus to be delivered more smoothly. Once the fetus is delivered, the impact and distension on the mother's birth canal and surrounding tissues of the pelvic floor disappear. One can imagine that because the vaginal opening is narrow and the fetus is squeezed there, it takes a long time to squeeze out, so the effect of expanding the vagina is great? Or is it better to allow the vaginal opening to relax slightly, so that the fetus can pass through the birth canal quickly, which will have a greater impact on the filling of the vagina and the possible relaxation? The answer is of course self-evident. The long-term expansion of the vaginal opening will inevitably create great resistance to restoring its original tightness. The neatly cut incision, after suturing and a certain period of growth recovery, can better restore the elasticity of the vagina and vaginal opening. So, contrary to those concerns, under the premise that the body's own conditions are similar, women who have undergone episiotomy will recover to a greater extent than those who have not undergone episiotomy. Speaking of scars, a 4 to 5 cm wound is at most as long as two finger joints and will not leave a large scar.

Above we know the wound recovery method of episiotomy during childbirth. In life, we recommend that friends should clean it every day. After giving birth, there is a lot of secretion. During this period, everyone should not mention sex to avoid changes in life.
