Does normal labia minora have granulation?

Are there normal small grains on the labia? It is common to have small grains on the labia. If a woman has such a condition, it may be pseudo-condyloma acuminatum or genital warts. The actual results need to be clarified by medical treatment. If you want to understand what your situation is, you first need to understand the difference between the two.

Pseudo-condyloma, also known as villous labia, occurs on the inner mucosa of the labia or the inner wall of the vagina. The protruding "hair" grows on the inner side of the labia like two pieces of fish eggs. The size is the same, the color is symmetrical on both sides, and the texture is the same as the surrounding mucosa. The "hair" can be lifted up when touched. It is common in women and the rash mainly occurs on the inner sides of the labia majora and the vestibule of the vagina. The rash is multiple, combined, granular, milky white or dark red, like fish eggs, with a smooth surface and a bumpy feel to the touch. Some are also flocculent, papillary or cystic. Most patients have no spontaneous discomfort, but some feel local itching. Patients with pseudocondyloma usually have a lot of leucorrhea, which is milky white or colorless and transparent, and generally has no obvious odor. In order to distinguish it from genital warts, you can apply 30% acetic acid glue on the rash site. If there is no change in the white color, it is pseudo-condyloma acuminatum.

On the contrary, it is genital warts. In addition, papillomavirus antigen test can be performed. The results of pseudo-condylomata are all negative. The cause of pseudo-condylomata is still unclear. Some people think it is a physiological genetic mutation or related to the presence of Trichomonas in the vulva and vagina. Others believe that pseudocondyloma acuminatum is caused by chronic hyperplasia and may be the result of long-term stimulation by female secretions.

Pseudo-condyloma acuminatum is a benign disease and generally does not require special treatment. If you experience any discomfort in your vagina, seek medical attention immediately. Generally speaking, pseudo-condyloma acuminatum can be distinguished from trichomoniasis or trichomonas infection and can be relatively cured. Therefore, pathological condyloma acuminatum and pseudo-condyloma acuminatum should be accurately distinguished in many aspects.
