How to regulate irregular menstruation after giving birth

Many mothers who have just given birth will feel that their menstruation is irregular after giving birth. This is due to damage to the uterus and ovaries. Don’t worry too much. The following article will give you a detailed introduction on how to treat and regulate irregular menstruation after giving birth.

Women usually start menstruating around the age of fourteen. If they do not have menstruation after the age of 18 or if they stop having menstruation for more than several months after the onset of menstruation, it is called amenorrhea. Your wife had her period after giving birth, but stopped having her period two months later. This is secondary amenorrhea.

This is caused by endocrine disorders or imbalance of the body's yin and yang, qi and blood, resulting in blood stasis and blockage of the meridians.

Therefore, the medical theory of treating amenorrhea is to adjust the balance of the two physiological substances of blood and qi, yin and yang, and to promote the balance of blood and qi in the human body to achieve the purpose and effect of curing the disease. Most women after childbirth will suffer from: Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, or both Qi and blood deficiency. Different drug treatments should be chosen according to their own conditions. Sometimes, due to poor blood circulation, blood stasis, blocked meridians, and insufficient blood and excessive qi, mothers will experience symptoms of false heat. This symptom is not real heat. Therefore, Chinese medicine emphasizes prescribing the right medicine for the right disease and treating the disease based on syndrome differentiation.

For amenorrhea caused by blood heat and blood stasis, you can boil 9 grams of Rubia cordifolia and an appropriate amount of aged vinegar with water, and drink it twice a day. It has the effects of stopping bleeding and dispersing blood stasis.

For amenorrhea caused by cold blood stasis and cold-damp stagnation, you can decoct 9 grams of dried ginger, 15 grams of jujube, and 30 grams of brown sugar with water and take it twice a day. This prescription replenishes qi and blood, tonifies deficiency, dispels cold and blood stasis, thus achieving the purpose of unblocking menstruation.

If this type of disease occurs, you can use diet therapy or traditional Chinese medicine to regulate and treat it. Before each menstruation, you can drink some motherwort or brown sugar water to warm the uterus, which is also helpful in regulating menstruation.
