Why does my period hurt so much?

Women will feel uncomfortable for a few days every month. This is the menstrual period. During this period, many women will have lower abdominal pain. Severe cases require painkillers to improve the condition. So why is menstruation so painful? This is something many women don’t understand. Generally, this is directly related to the woman’s own physical condition. For women with poor physical condition, it will be very painful when the menstrual period first comes.

Why does my period hurt so much?

Due to the sudden decrease of sex hormones in the body before menstruation, it will affect the whole body system and cause certain reactions. These reactions usually occur 7-14 days before menstruation, worsen 2-3 days before menstruation, and gradually ease and disappear after menstruation. In medicine, these obvious changes are called premenstrual syndrome. Generally manifested as:

⑴ Mainly mental symptoms: common nervous sensitivity, irritability, general fatigue, sometimes causing headaches, insomnia, lack of concentration, etc.

⑵ Mainly physical symptoms: common symptoms include swelling of the hands, feet and face, abdominal distension, abdominal distension in some people, constipation in most girls, lower abdominal pain and breast pain, etc.

The diet should be light and easy to digest within 3-5 days before menstruation. You should eat food that is easy to digest and absorb, and you should not eat too much. In particular, you should avoid eating raw and cold foods, because raw and cold foods can stimulate the contraction of the uterus and fallopian tubes, thereby inducing or aggravating dysmenorrhea. Once menstruation has started, you should avoid all raw, cold, indigestible and irritating foods, such as chili peppers, raw onions, raw garlic, pepper, strong liquor, etc. During this period, patients can eat some sour foods, such as sauerkraut, vinegar, etc. Sour foods can relieve pain.

After understanding why menstruation hurts so much, women can choose the above foods to improve their problems during menstruation. Women should also pay attention to that when eating some sweets during menstruation, they should choose them in moderation, especially for obese women, they should be careful not to eat too much, otherwise it will easily make themselves fatter.
