Breast Self-Examination Introduction

Breast Self-Examination Introduction

Nowadays, more and more gynecological diseases are plaguing female friends. These illnesses often come without notice, causing great pain to female friends. Therefore, female friends need to pay more attention to every detail of their bodies and self-examine every detail of their bodies. So how should women conduct self-examination of breasts? How can they avoid the pain caused by breast diseases?

1. Position for self-examination of breasts

1. Check your breasts while bathing: When bathing, the skin surface is moist, and the skin becomes smooth after applying soap, which is conducive to discovering abnormalities. At this time, use your right hand to check (touch) the left breast, paying attention to whether there is local thickening or lumps. 2. Check your breasts in front of a mirror. Choose a brightly lit place, take off your top and bra, fully expose your breasts on both sides, and face the mirror. During the examination, raise both upper limbs and pay attention to whether there are local bulges, depressions, and changes in the nipples. Then put your hands on your waist and hips, support them with your waist and hips, tense the chest muscles, and then check whether there are any changes in the breasts. During the examination, pay special attention to whether the breasts on both sides are symmetrical. Asymmetrical changes should be taken seriously. 3. Check the breasts while lying flat on the bed: Lie down flat on your back. If you are checking the right breast, place a small thin pillow on the right shoulder and back, and put your right hand under your head. This will expose the breast tissue more evenly and facilitate examination. When checking the left breast, bring the four fingers of your right hand together, place them flat, and gently touch the breast. Check in a certain direction and sequence with your fingers, making circular motions.

2. Before the examination, you need to choose a date, preferably in the middle of two menstrual periods. Because the breasts are less engorged and softer at this time, it is easier to feel the lumps.

3. Self-examination of breasts: The correct way to examine the breasts yourself is to touch and press the breasts lightly with your fingers together. Do not pinch them with your hands, otherwise you may mistake normal breast tissue for a lump. When touching, keep your palm flat, put four fingers together, and use the most sensitive index finger, middle finger, and ring finger to gently touch the breasts in order.

4. Contents of breast inspection: First, you need to check whether your two breasts are symmetrical, whether the skin color has changed, and whether the nipples are inverted or have discharge. 1. Breast shape: Take off your shirt, face the mirror, put your arms on your waist or raise them above your head, and repeat several times to observe whether the breast shape is complete and symmetrical, and whether there are any abnormalities in the shape. A normal breast has a complete curved outline, and any abnormal changes in this curve should be taken seriously.

Female friends can use the above methods to examine their breasts, and should do regular self-examinations to avoid the disease coming unexpectedly and catching people off guard. Female friends can perform breast self-examination by themselves, which is responsible for themselves, their family and their relatives.
