Causes of premenstrual breast pain

Female friends often experience some uncomfortable symptoms during and before and after menstruation. These symptoms may be mild or severe. In addition to being determined by each person's physical condition, they are sometimes affected by their emotions during the period. Premenstrual breast pain is also a common symptom that female friends often encounter before menstruation. So what causes premenstrual breast pain? Is this a disease?

Many women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation. In severe cases, the breasts will swell and hurt with the slightest vibration or collision. This is caused by increased estrogen levels in the body before menstruation, breast hyperplasia, and edema of breast tissue. The above changes may disappear after menstruation.

Breast tenderness occurs too early before menstruation, after menstruation is over or after ovulation, and it hurts when putting on underwear or touching. This phenomenon is pathological and can easily lead to gynecological diseases such as infertility and breast tumors.

Premenstrual breast pain is an early and important signal of gynecological disease. Strictly speaking, female breasts are part of the reproductive system and are greatly affected by estrogen and progesterone. If the body's endocrine system or ovarian function is disturbed at a certain stage, it will affect the menstrual cycle and breast tissue, thereby causing a series of diseases. The most common and mildest symptom is premenstrual breast swelling. If necessary conditioning or treatment is not given, more discomfort will occur, such as: premenstrual headaches, irritability, insomnia, even premenstrual body pain, mild edema, etc. These symptoms gradually disappear after menstruation and occur repeatedly once a month. Medically, they are called premenstrual tension syndrome. If things go on like this, breast disease will develop, the most common of which is breast hyperplasia. Menstruation may also be disrupted, resulting in menstrual disorders or amenorrhea, which will lead to infertility.

It can be seen from this that breast pain before menstruation is a normal physiological reaction, but if it is not properly regulated during the menstrual period, it may lead to some breast diseases. Therefore, it is recommended that female friends who have symptoms of breast pain before menstruation should consult a relevant doctor to help you regulate your body according to your physical condition.
