6 incorrect uses of sanitary napkins that lead to gynecological diseases

6 incorrect uses of sanitary napkins that lead to gynecological diseases

1. Not changing sanitary napkins for a long time

Menstrual blood is rich in nutrients and can easily become a "culture medium" for the rampant growth of bacteria. Many women blindly pursue sanitary napkins with high absorption capacity. For their own convenience, they often use sanitary napkins with high absorption capacity. Another situation is that they forget to change them when the menstrual blood volume is small.

These two practices are also not recommended. Failure to change sanitary napkins for a long time will lead to poor local ventilation, causing bacteria to multiply, thus inducing various gynecological diseases. Therefore, sanitary napkins must be changed frequently. I suggest that no matter how much menstrual flow you have, you should not use a sanitary napkin for more than 3 hours!

2. Sanitary napkins are kept in the bathroom for a long time

In fact, this is very unhygienic. Generally, sanitary napkins are made of non-woven fabrics, which are fiber materials. The materials will deteriorate when exposed to moisture, and bacteria can easily invade and multiply. However, most bathrooms in my country do not see sunlight all day and are very humid, which makes it easy for mold to breed and contaminate sanitary napkins. After unpacking, sanitary napkins should be placed in a dry and clean environment and should not be used again after getting wet.

3. Not paying attention to the expiration date of sanitary napkins

In fact, the hygiene requirements for sanitary napkins are very strict, and the closer to the production date, the more guaranteed the quality. Sanitary napkins are sterilized by high-temperature disinfection. After all, the validity period of one-time disinfection and sterilization is limited. Sterility can no longer be guaranteed after the period expires. If sanitary napkins are stored for too long, they will deteriorate and become contaminated even if they are not opened.

Therefore, when using sanitary napkins, try to choose products from reputable manufacturers in large shopping malls, and carefully check the health license number, anti-counterfeiting mark, and shelf life on the outer packaging. Don't buy too much at one time, and don't keep it at home for a long time.

4. Frequently purchase promotional items, new products and gifts

Generally speaking, promotional items and gifts may be unsaleable products that merchants are dealing with, and the quality of the products is difficult to guarantee. When choosing new products, try to choose products from well-known manufacturers with a good reputation, and don't blindly pursue new products.

5. Frequent use of sanitary napkins with medicine or fragrance

I strongly disagree with this practice because fragrance ingredients do not represent cleanliness. Medicated sanitary napkins should be used with caution. They may play a role in keeping the female genitals clean and preventing and treating various gynecological diseases to a certain extent, but they are not suitable for everyone because people's physical constitutions vary greatly. Some people will be allergic to certain substances when they come into contact with them, resulting in vulvar itching. Therefore, no matter which medicated sanitary napkin you use, you must pay attention to your own reactions and feelings. Women who are usually allergic should use medicated sanitary napkins with caution or not at all.

6. Not washing hands before using sanitary napkins

Because the process of unpacking, opening, smoothing and sticking sanitary napkins by hand will bring germs onto the sanitary napkins. Sanitary napkins are in direct contact with the female vulva skin and the menstrual period is a period when women's resistance is relatively low. If you are not careful, it is very easy to get infected or cause gynecological diseases.
