Symptoms of Dysmenorrhea

Symptoms of Dysmenorrhea

In fact, many women will experience dysmenorrhea during their menstrual period. Some people have mild symptoms, while others are even in so much pain that they have to roll on the ground. Therefore, the problem of dysmenorrhea should never be ignored easily. Do you know what the real symptoms of dysmenorrhea are? Let’s take a closer look at the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.

Dysmenorrhea is a phenomenon that many women will encounter during their menstrual period. Therefore, we must pay attention to our own physical health in life. During the menstrual period, if some uncomfortable symptoms occur, we must not ignore them and pay attention to maintenance.

Symptoms of dysmenorrhea usually begin to appear 1 to 2 days before menstruation, such as intermittent lower abdominal distension and pain, accompanied by back pain. Severe pain may involve the vulva, anus and other parts, and the duration may be long or short. Most patients can feel slight relief from symptoms after getting warm ironing or hot drinks. Generally, the pain gradually disappears after the menstrual blood flows smoothly. Some other patients suffer from membranous dysmenorrhea, that is, the endometrium is not broken into fragments but wants to be discharged in one piece, causing strong contraction of the uterus and leading to dysmenorrhea. After the large pieces of purple-red endometrium are discharged, the symptoms improve.

At present, the cause of dysmenorrhea is not fully understood. It may be related to physical weakness, mental stress, hyperesthesia, or stenosis of the cervical opening or cervical canal, excessive uterine tilt, shedding of the entire endometrium, causing menstrual blood retention and stimulating uterine contraction; or abnormal increase in the content of prostaglandin F2d in endometrial fragments and menstrual blood, causing spasmodic contraction of uterine muscles and blood vessels.

Because women's bodies are relatively weak during menstruation and their immune abilities are declining, they must pay attention to their physical health at this time and supplement more protein and nutrients. They are prohibited from eating spicy, raw and cold foods. These are also ways to relieve dysmenorrhea.
