What causes low progesterone during pregnancy?

The increase in luteal copper during pregnancy is caused by the progesterone in the ovaries. With the increase of pregnancy time and the formation of the embryo, estrogen will be produced in the embryo. If the luteal function of the ovaries is not well developed, it will lead to a decrease in estrogen, which will affect the health of the fetus and the pregnant woman. These are the reasons for the decrease in luteal copper during pregnancy.

1. The uterus is damaged

The symptom of low progesterone in women after pregnancy is closely related to uterine trauma. If a female friend has experienced threatened miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, premature birth, or has suffered from amenorrhea and infertility before, the uterus will suffer certain trauma, and the occurrence of this situation will directly cause the female friend to have low progesterone symptoms.

2. Luteal insufficiency

Luteal dysfunction can cause female friends to have low progesterone levels after pregnancy. This kind of situation is very common in clinical medicine. Ladies are advised to seek treatment as soon as possible.

3. Imbalance of adrenaline and thyroid hormone

If women have an imbalance of adrenaline and thyroid hormone in their daily lives, the level of hormone secretion will change abnormally, and the occurrence of this situation will cause great damage to the ovaries of women, thereby hindering and affecting women's normal pregnancy. It is worth mentioning that the occurrence of this kind of situation will also hinder the ovulation period of female friends and gradually reduce the progesterone value.
