The experiment showed that: Cynomorium songaricum decoction was given to normal male mice and yang deficiency mice (0.5% hydrocortisone 0.2ml/mouse/

intramuscular injection every day for 9 consecutive days)

Oral administration, 10g/kg/d, for 9 consecutive days, increased the concentration of glucocorticoids in the blood of yang-deficient mice and restored it to normal levels; but had no effect on the serum cortisol concentration of normal mice. It has been reported that Cynomorium songaricum water extract can significantly reduce the testicular wet weight and plasma testosterone content of normal and yang-deficient male mice.

Oral administration of Cynomorium songaricum alcohol extract can restore the phagocytic function of peritoneal macrophages in mice with immunosuppressed by hydrocortisone; intragastric administration of water solvent can increase the levels of plasma corticosterone and plasma testosterone in young mice, indicating that it has adrenal secretion function and adrenocortical effect, and also has the effect of promoting sexual maturation.

Immune function

Gavage of Cynomorium songaricum extract to yang-deficiency mice can restore their ability to phagocytize chicken red blood cells and improve the transformation function of spleen lymphocytes in yang-deficiency mice; gavage of Cynomorium songaricum extract to normal male mice can increase the number of hemolytic plaque-forming cells in the spleen of mice.

Experiments show that:

The water extract of Cynomorium songaricum was administered orally to mice, and had no significant effect on the liver, thymus, total white blood cell count, total lymphocyte count in the nitro blue tetrazolium reduction test, acid nonspecific esterase staining of lymphocytes, and delayed skin allergy induced by dinitrochlorobenzene of normal and yang-deficiency mice; but it significantly increased the number of neutrophils and spleen weight of yang-deficiency mice, and increased the half hemolytic value and agglutinin of the serum of normal and yang-deficiency mice. The experimental results indicate that the water extract of Cynomorium songaricum has no significant effect on the cellular immune function of yang-deficiency and normal mice, but has a significant promoting effect on humoral immunity.

Other effects

Experiments have shown (charcoal powder propulsion method and eosin dye method) that oral administration of Cynomorium songaricum water extract to mice can significantly increase the charcoal powder propulsion rate and the discharge time of the first red feces, indicating that Cynomorium songaricum has a laxative effect.

In vitro experiments showed that:

At higher concentrations, Cynomorium songaricum can cause intestinal motility disorders, leading to a decrease in the frequency of bowel movements.

Intragastric administration of Cynomorium songaricum water extract had no significant improvement effect on the microcirculation of yang-deficiency mice, suggesting that Cynomorium songaricum has no corrective effect on the deficiency of qi and blood caused by kidney-yang deficiency. Subcutaneous injection of Cynomorium songaricum extract into mice promoted the growth of granulocyte progenitor cells.

Cynomorium songaricum is the most commonly used herb for kidney tonification. It can calm the liver and tonify the kidney, replenish essence and blood, moisten the intestines and promote bowel movements. It can treat infertility caused by insufficient qi and blood, strengthen muscles and bones, and supplement calcium. It has great benefits for human body functions; enhances immune function; scavenges free radicals; resists platelet aggregation; has glucocorticoid-like effects; and supplements vitamins and minerals. The latest scientific experiments have proved that Cynomorium songaricum also has the effects of preventing cancer, anti-virus and anti-aging. It is suitable for people with low immunity and who are susceptible to diseases; young and middle-aged people who overdraw their health due to overwork; and patients with various chronic diseases such as frequent urination, constipation, insomnia, hair loss, asthma, impotence and premature ejaculation.

In the above article, we introduced that one of the reasons why women become sensitive during menstruation is the decline in immune function. Women need to follow certain rules in their diet during menstruation. The Cynomorium songaricum mentioned above can enhance the body's immune function and has a good blood-nourishing effect, so it can be eaten during menstruation.
