The incidence of cervical disease is increasing year by year, and is becoming younger and younger. It is no longer limited to married women, but also affects unmarried women. Protecting cervical health is urgent, but not complicated. Three steps can keep dangerous factors out. The first step to protect the cervix: regular cervical health assessment Prevention is better than cure. Regular comprehensive cervical examinations and health assessments every year are the only way to protect cervical health. The main examination items for cervical disease are: 1. Routine gynecological examination: Focus on checking the size, shape, texture, thickness of the cervical canal, and whether there is contact bleeding. Secondly, check the condition of the vulva, vagina, uterus, and paracervical tissues. 2. Pathological examination of cervical biopsy tissue It is the basis for the diagnosis of cervical malignancy. 3. Cervical smear cytology examination It is a routine gynecological examination, simple and easy, proven to be effective, and is an important auxiliary examination and the preferred initial screening method for cancer prevention surveys. 4. Iodine test and visual observation The method is very simple and cheap, and can detect at least 2/3 of the lesions. Currently, the World Health Organization recommends visual inspection in patients with advanced disease. As an initial screening method for cervical malignant tumors, 3%-5% acetic acid solution is applied to the cervix. Observe the reaction of the cervical epithelium to acetic acid, and then take a biopsy from the white lesion area. 5. Colposcopy It can quickly detect lesions that are invisible to the naked eye and take biopsies from suspicious areas during colposcopy, which can significantly improve the accuracy of biopsies. The second way to protect the cervix: correct treatment of cervical diseases According to medical statistics, 70% of women who have sex have cervical lesions. Of course, the cervical lesions mentioned here mainly refer to cervicitis, which was previously called cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is more likely to cause panic in patients. In fact, if "cervical erosion" is diagnosed, there may be three situations: one is a normal physiological phenomenon, which is just a simple migration of columnar epithelium due to high hormone levels. The "erosion" in this case is due to hormonal changes and does not require treatment; the second situation may be a manifestation of gynecological inflammation. At this time, there should also be symptoms such as excessive leucorrhea and low back pain, which require further examination; the third situation is a manifestation of early cervical cancer. When suffering from early cervical cancer, erosion-like symptoms will also be found in the cervix. Therefore, when you are diagnosed with "cervical erosion", don't be too nervous and over-treat it. You should first figure out what your condition is before talking about treatment. If there is no physical discomfort, it does not affect normal life, and there are no other symptoms such as leucorrhea odor, no special treatment is required. If you are worried, you can do a cervical cytology test to see if the erosion is caused by cancer. If it is not caused by cancer, there is no need to worry too much. Only when the patient finds symptoms of "cervical erosion", with increased vaginal discharge or pus or odor, as well as lower back pain, especially dull pain in the lumbar sacral area, and even pain during sexual intercourse, it may be a manifestation of cervicitis and should be treated promptly. The third way to protect the cervix: enhance cervical immunity To defend against cervical diseases, a sound immunity is essential. For example, cervical cancer usually occurs in women around 40 years old, and human papillomavirus (HPV) is the culprit of the disease. HPV exists in nature and can invade the human body, especially the female reproductive system, when the body's immunity is reduced. The risk of disease is highest after infection with HPV16 and HPV18. In addition, sex-related chronic vaginal and cervical infections, as well as damage to the vagina caused by premature sexual activity, early childbearing, multiple pregnancies, repeated miscarriages, etc. will increase the risk of disease, especially for women with low immunity. Therefore, to avoid the occurrence of cervical diseases, we must first avoid various risk factors, such as mechanical stimulation or injury (including sexual intercourse, miscarriage and childbirth lacerations), bacterial invasion, etc. At the same time, maintain good living habits, improve your own immunity, and avoid cervical diseases. |
