For most people, having acne on the genitals is something that is difficult to talk about. But in fact, genital acne is not a rare disease, so is acne in the private parts a sexually transmitted disease? From the elderly in their seventies and eighties to children of four or five years old, both men and women may be attacked by "acne" in special parts of the body several times in their lives. These "pimples" are actually papules , which include skin diseases caused by bacterial infection and sexually transmitted diseases transmitted through unclean sexual behavior. Different types of genital "pimples" require different treatments. Some do not require any treatment at all and will disappear on their own after a period of time; others require early medication or physical treatment, otherwise they may be transmitted to their sexual partners and may even cause miscarriage in pregnant women. The analysis said that in real life, the proportion of non-STDs in genital "acne" is much higher than that of STDs. "Especially in places with high temperatures and where people sweat easily, folliculitis, sebaceous gland and sweat gland infections may cause small "acne" on the genitals. In addition, sebaceous gland ectopia, pseudocondyloma acuminatum and penile pearly papules are all normal physiological variations. They are generally harmless and do not require special treatment as long as you pay attention to cleanliness. According to reports, there is also a type of skin tumor called Bowenoid papules, which is not a sexually transmitted disease but is a skin tumor. "However, the possibility of metastasis is relatively small, and sometimes there will be no changes for many years." Bowenoid papules are often darker in color, dark brown or dark red, about the size of a millet grain, and most patients do not experience pain or itching. 1. Sebaceous gland ectopia : It mostly occurs after puberty, is more common in middle-aged people, and is more common in men than in women. In men, it is mainly on the penis shaft, foreskin, and frenulum, and rarely on the glans penis. In women, it is mainly on the labia majora and minora and perineum. It is about the size of a millet grain, light yellow or light white. Most patients do not feel pain or itching, but a few female patients will experience slight itching due to irritation from leucorrhea. 2. Pseudo-condyloma : It mostly occurs in women, and the main manifestation is the appearance of some caviar or velvety pink particles on the inner side of the labia minora. Most patients have no obvious symptoms, and occasionally there will be mild itching. "Pseudo-condyloma may exist for many years without being discovered, and it is easy to be misdiagnosed as genital warts." 3. Pearly papules of the vulva : About 10% to 15% of men will suffer from this skin disease, usually in the circle of the coronal sulcus of the glans penis, there are small papules the size of a needle tip, skin color or light red. Some men who have unclean sexual behavior will be worried when they see these small papules, but this is not actually a sexually transmitted disease. Even if it persists, it has no effect on the body, will not affect urination and sexual life, and will not be transmitted to the partner. |
