How to calculate pregnancy time

How to calculate pregnancy time

Many pregnant women do not know how to calculate the gestational period after they become pregnant. Many people only perform simple calculations. In fact, there are many algorithms for the duration of pregnancy, and these algorithms are also relatively simple. For many pregnant mothers, the calculation of pregnancy time is very critical. It can be used to calculate the expected date of delivery. It is a more critical algorithm for babies and postpartum mothers. Let us briefly introduce how to calculate the pregnancy time.

Pregnant women are more concerned about knowing the time of conception and the expected date of delivery. These are also some important things for pregnant women. The main regulations stipulate that the expected date of delivery is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period. Most pregnancies are within 28 days. Many expectant mothers don’t know how to calculate the duration of pregnancy.

Normal calculation method : start counting from the day of your last menstrual period! The expected date of delivery is calculated from the day of your last menstrual period, add nine or subtract three, and then add 7, this is the expected date of delivery.

Calculation of fetal movement : If you cannot remember the date of your last menstrual period, you can calculate it based on the date of fetal movement. Fetal movements usually begin between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy. The calculation method is: for primiparas, it is the day of fetal movement plus 20 weeks; for multiparas, it is the day of fetal movement plus 22 weeks.

Calculation of morning sickness : Morning sickness usually occurs at the 6th week of pregnancy, which is 42 days after the last menstrual period. Calculating backward from this to 280 days is the expected date of delivery.

Ultrasound calculation : When the doctor does an ultrasound, he or she can measure the biparietal diameter, crown-rump length and femur length to estimate the gestational age and calculate the expected date of delivery.

The above is how to calculate the pregnancy cycle. The normal due date is mainly around 265 days. Some common pregnancy phenomena after complete fertilization are generally calculated in this way. The menstrual cycle of women in life is 28 days, so the gestation period is generally 40 weeks. The algorithm for the due date is also relatively simple. In daily life, you can make some due date calculations to more accurately deliver your fetus.
