1. Astragalus Chicken Congee

Ingredients: 1 hen weighing 1000-1500 grams, 15 grams of astragalus, and 100 grams of rice.

Preparation method: clean the hen, boil the chicken juice, boil the astragalus juice, add 100 grams of rice and cook porridge.

Efficacy: Nourishes Qi and blood, replenishes essence, suitable for anemia patients with physical weakness, Qi and blood deficiency, and malnutrition.


2. Pork liver porridge

Ingredients: 100-150 grams of pork liver (lamb liver, beef liver, chicken liver are all OK), 100 grams of rice, and appropriate amounts of onion, ginger, oil, and salt.

Preparation method: Wash the animal liver, cut it into small pieces, put it into the pot together with rice, onion, ginger, oil and salt, add about 700 grams of water, cook it into porridge, and eat it when the liver is cooked and the porridge is thick.

Efficacy: Nourishes the liver, nourishes blood and improves eyesight. Suitable for anemia, night blindness, blurred vision, etc. caused by weak Qi and blood.


3. Tofu and pig blood soup

Ingredients: 250 grams of tofu, 400 grams of pig blood (sheep blood or cow blood is also OK), 10 dates.

Preparation method: Wash the jujubes, put them into the pot together with tofu and pig blood, add appropriate amount of water, and boil them into soup.

Efficacy: Blood tonic, suitable for women with postpartum anemia.


4. Red Dates and Longan Porridge

Ingredients: 15 grams of longan meat, 3-5 red dates, 100 grams of polished rice. Cook together into porridge and drink while hot.

Efficacy: Nourishes the heart and spleen, nourishes and strengthens the body.


5. Carp donkey-hide gelatin porridge

Ingredients: 100 grams of polished rice, 200 grams of carp, 20 grams of donkey-hide gelatin, 3 grams of green onion, 3 grams of ginger, 2 grams of cinnamon, and 1 gram of salt.

Preparation method: Wash the glutinous rice, soak it in cold water for 3 hours, take it out and drain. Scrape the scales and gills of the carp, remove the internal organs, wash and cut into pieces, put them into a pot, and add appropriate amount of cold water to boil the soup. Put glutinous rice into a pot, add about 1000 ml of cold water, bring to a boil over high heat, add donkey-hide gelatin, fish broth and cinnamon, and simmer over low heat. When the glutinous rice is cooked and the soup is thick, add chopped green onion, shredded ginger and salt to season, then serve.

Efficacy: Carp fat is mostly unsaturated fatty acids, which can effectively lower cholesterol and prevent and treat arteriosclerosis and coronary heart disease. Therefore, eating more fish can help you live a healthy and long life. Carp tastes sweet and is neutral in nature. It has the effects of nourishing the stomach, promoting diuresis and reducing swelling, promoting lactation, clearing away heat and detoxifying, stopping coughs and relieving gas. It is beneficial for various edema, swelling, abdominal distension, oliguria, jaundice, and milk obstruction. Japonica rice has the effects of nourishing the middle and replenishing qi, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and stopping sweating. It also has a good effect on symptoms such as spleen and stomach deficiency and cold, and poor appetite.




6. Shouwu Japonica Rice Porridge

Ingredients: 60 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, 3-5 red dates, 100 grams of polished rice.

Preparation method: First, boil the prepared Polygonum multiflorum to obtain the thick juice, remove the residue, add red dates and glutinous rice to cook porridge, when it is ready, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and boil it for one or two more times. Take while hot. Polygonum multiflorum should not be used with iron utensils. When decocting soup or cooking porridge, a small pot or enamel pot should be used.

Efficacy: Nourishes the liver and kidneys, nourishes blood and regulates deficiency.
