Spring is here, allergic rhinitis is not something you can just endure

Spring is here, allergic rhinitis is not something you can just endure

Spring is here and flowers are blooming, but there is a group of people who both love and fear spring - allergic rhinitis, stuffy nose, sneezing, tears streaming down their cheeks... Other people's romantic spring days may be "disaster scenes" for them. Don't panic! Here's how to defuse the bomb scientifically and embrace spring with peace of mind.

1. Build a personal pollen protection system:

1. Check the "pollen concentration forecast" every day, and start defense when PM2.5>75 or pollen count>50 grains/1000 square millimeters. Wear a certified N95 mask, anti-pollen glasses (flank seal type), and a long-sleeved hat (wear a hooded jacket made of smooth fabric to reduce pollen adhesion).

2. Choose the best time to go out: go out in the early morning or after the rain, and avoid the pollen "bombing period" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. First aid tips: Carry the “three anti-allergic weapons” at all times – cetirizine, budesonide and artificial tears.

4. "Mine-clearing" after returning home: ① Change your coat! Shake off the pollen (don't pat it, use a sticky hair roller). ② Wash your nasal cavity! Use a nasal wash with saline to thoroughly rinse out allergens. ③ Take a shower! Hair is the best "pollen collector", so focus on washing it!

2. Home protection black technology:

1. Fresh air system (HEPA filter) air purifier.

2. Intelligent humidity control (maintain 40%-50% to inhibit dust mites).

3. Wash bedding at 60℃ every week and use anti-mite fabric.

3. Diet conditioning:

Astragalus and Chinese Yam Congee: Prepare 30g of Astragalus, 100g of Chinese Yam, 50g of rice, and an appropriate amount of water. Cook until the porridge becomes thick. Effect: Reduces the over-sensitivity of the nasal mucosa to allergens (such as sneezing and clear runny nose).

Magnolia flower egg soup: 10 grams of magnolia flower, 2 eggs, appropriate amount of salt and sesame oil. Make the egg liquid into egg drops. Effect: Magnolia flower contains volatile oil, which can dilate the blood vessels of nasal mucosa, improve ventilation, and quickly relieve nasal congestion.

Remember: Allergic rhinitis is not something you can just put up with! Long-term nasal congestion can lead to hypoxia, memory loss, and even asthma! If you experience loss of smell or sleep apnea, you should seek medical attention immediately.

Master scientific methods, and you can breathe freely and embrace the spring even when all the flowers are in full bloom!
