Female stomach pain on the right side

Female stomach pain on the right side

Many people suffer from inflammation of the stomach and other organs of the digestive system due to lifestyle and eating habits, such as gastritis, cholecystitis, and intrahepatic bile duct stones. Diseases like intrahepatic bile duct stones are common in women, and the incidence rate of women suffering from intrahepatic bile duct stones is much higher than that of men, especially as the probability of women suffering from intrahepatic bile duct stones increases with age. What organ is on the right side of the stomach? Is it painful when I press it lightly? Is it intrahepatic bile duct stones? Can it be treated?

1. Human organs on the right side of the stomach and intrahepatic bile duct stones

The pain when pressing lightly on the right side of the stomach is mostly related to intrahepatic bile duct stones. It is not difficult to see that the right side of the stomach is the gallbladder. But what are intrahepatic bile duct stones? Intrahepatic bile duct stones are mainly cholesterol stones or mixed stones dominated by cholesterol and gray-black pigment stones.

The causes of intrahepatic bile duct stones include daily life factors, dietary factors, immune factors and surgical factors, among which pregnancy, obesity, diabetes and hyperlipidemia can also cause intrahepatic bile duct stones.

In most cases, many patients have no symptoms of intrahepatic bile duct stones except pain when pressing lightly. They are only discovered through surgery and examination.

However, the actual symptoms of intrahepatic bile duct stones include biliary colic, pain in the right upper abdomen, white bile, and calculous intestinal obstruction.

Different symptoms have different manifestations. For example, biliary colic has symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, paroxysmal or persistent pain; while right upper abdominal pain has symptoms of abdominal distension and hiccups, which are similar to the symptoms of gastritis and are easy to misdiagnose.

2. Treatment of intrahepatic bile duct stones

Currently, there are two treatments for intrahepatic bile duct stones: surgical treatment and drug control. Surgical treatment includes laparoscopic cholecystectomy and open cholecystectomy. Its drug control is generally drug-dominated, mainly used to alleviate bile metabolism problems.

Although the organs on the right side of the stomach include the liver, gallbladder and other organs, especially the right upper abdomen and the right side of the stomach, there will be obvious pain when pressing lightly, so the symptoms of both genders are generally symptoms of intrahepatic bile duct stones. Treatment of intrahepatic bile duct stones includes open cholecystectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, drug control and other methods. Cooperating with doctors to actively treat intrahepatic bile duct stones is beneficial to recovery.
