Don't panic if you have breast pain. It's important to find the cause.

Don't panic if you have breast pain. It's important to find the cause.

1. Under what circumstances will breast pain occur?

Breast pain can be divided into cyclical pain and non-cyclical pain. Cyclic pain is related to the physiological cycle of women and is more common in young women or perimenopausal women. Non-cyclical pain often has nothing to do with the menstrual cycle and is sharp, burning, etc. It is more common in postmenopausal women and often occurs in one breast.

2. Why does breast pain occur after menopause?

Under normal circumstances, the level of estrogen decreases after menopause, and there should be no breast pain. If there is an ovarian germ cell tumor or a breast disease, breast pain may occur. You need to go to a regular hospital for a sex hormone test or B-ultrasound examination in time to identify the cause in time.

3. How to prevent breast pain?

(1) Good living habits are an important guarantee for breast health, such as proper exercise, adequate sleep, and avoiding staying up late.

(2) Adjust your mood. A comfortable mood and optimistic emotions are the best weapons to defend against breast hyperplasia.

(3) Eat a healthy diet, avoid eating foods high in calories, fat, and caffeine, and do not take nutritional supplements containing hormones (propolis, royal jelly, pollen, etc.).

(4) Do not wear bras that are too tight or have breast augmentation effects.

(5) Regular check-ups: The general population should have a breast examination every 6-12 months; women with obvious breast pain, breast nodules, or a family history of breast cancer should have a breast examination every 3-6 months.

4. Is a breast lump necessarily a serious problem?

(1) What should I do if I find a breast lump?

If you find a breast lump, don't panic. The best way is to go to the breast department of a regular hospital, find a professional doctor, and use imaging examinations to make a diagnosis. Common examination methods for breast lumps include color Doppler ultrasound, molybdenum target, enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance, etc.

(2) Is a breast lump breast cancer?

The main clinical manifestation of breast cancer is painless breast mass, but most breast masses are benign tumors. Data show that more than 90% of breast masses (especially in women under 35 years old) are breast fibroids, benign nodules, subcutaneous lipomas and inflammatory masses, so not all breast masses are breast cancer. After discovering a breast lump, you need to go to the doctor for relevant examinations to determine the nature of the lump. Don't make blind guesses on your own. Anxiety will only make things worse.
