What are the symptoms of poor liver in women?

If the human body is regarded as a sophisticated machine, the liver is one of the core driving forces of this instrument. The liver can remove toxins from the body, coordinate the endocrine system, and maintain rare elements such as calcium, iron, and zinc that are necessary for the human body. The role of the liver is especially important for women. If a woman has a bad liver, it will show on her face. Spots and acne will appear on the face, her eyes will become dry and astringent, and pimples will appear on the forehead, etc. Not only will it affect the appearance, it will also lead to endocrine disorders, unreasonable irritability, etc. The following is a detailed introduction to the symptoms of bad liver in women.

Generally, poor liver function in women is often manifested by endocrine disorders, rough skin, dark complexion, and some women also experience problems such as irregular menstruation. If the disease continues to progress, there will be many symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, frequent insomnia, and even pain in the liver area. In general, there are the following points.

1. Women’s menstruation will be disordered. Insufficient liver blood will cause reduced menstrual volume. In severe cases, amenorrhea and uterine and ovarian atrophy will occur.

2. Reflection on the face. When looking at the face, first look at the forehead. There will be acne and large pores on the forehead. Secondly, look at the skin and eyes. When the liver is not healthy, the skin will become pale or dark, and the eyes will become dry and unclear. This indicates that the liver area is not getting enough blood, the eyes are nutritionally unbalanced, and the eyes will also appear yellow (especially the sclera).

3. Blood is the most important thing for women throughout their lives. The liver has the functions of producing, storing, regulating blood volume and transporting blood to various organs. It also has the functions of decomposing nutrients, regulating hormones, etc. The liver is also the strongest detoxification system and nutrient delivery system in the human body, nourishing a woman's internal organs throughout the body. If the liver cannot complete these tasks, it will lead to secretion disorders, disharmony of Qi and blood, menstrual disorders in women, and insufficient liver blood causing decreased menstrual volume. In severe cases, amenorrhea and symptoms of uterine and ovarian atrophy will occur.

Symptoms of poor liver metabolism generally have the following characteristics:

1. When abnormalities occur in the liver, it will cause abnormal synthesis of coagulation factors, and symptoms such as bleeding gums and nose bleeding will appear.

2. Poor liver metabolism will cause extrahepatic manifestations. The main manifestations are: arthritis, skin lesions, cardiovascular disease, kidney lesions, inflammatory changes in the gastrointestinal mucosa in the early stages of digestive system hepatitis, etc.

3. Some patients with cirrhosis develop spider nevi and palmar erythema. Spider nevi are commonly found on the face, neck, chest, and back.

4. Poor liver function may lead to loss of appetite and poor digestion. In severe cases, patients may also experience anorexia of greasy food, nausea, vomiting, etc. This is mainly due to the massive damage to liver cells, which reduces the function of bile secretion and affects the digestion of fat, resulting in loss of appetite, poor digestion, and aversion to greasy food.

5. Some patients develop jaundice because when the liver is abnormal, the bilirubin metabolism will also be abnormal, which will cause jaundice. Jaundice is what we often call yellow disease (yellow eyes, yellow skin, yellow urine).
