A woman hasn't had her period for a month and a half

We all know that girls always have a few special days every month - their "period" comes. But for healthy women with normal sex life, the sudden absence of menstruation that should come every month may be a sign of pregnancy. So, if a girl doesn't have her period for a month, is she pregnant?

Is a girl pregnant if she doesn't have her period for a month?

Experts emphasize that if a girl's menstruation has not come for a month, the following situations should be considered:

1. Pregnancy: If a woman's normal menstrual period is suddenly delayed for 7 days or more after having sexual intercourse, then you can consider whether you are pregnant. Generally speaking, the longer the menstrual period is due, and the more early pregnancy symptoms there are, the greater the possibility of pregnancy.

Experts suggest that you can go to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test strip and do a test first. If the test result is positive, go to a regular hospital for a B-ultrasound examination to diagnose whether you are pregnant. This is because due to the influence of many factors, the test results of pregnancy test strips are not 100% accurate. In addition, a B-ultrasound examination can promptly rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy and avoid the damage caused by ectopic pregnancy.

2. Endocrine imbalance: Polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian aging and other endocrine factors in women can also cause delayed menstruation. Check them in time and start treatment as soon as possible if any abnormality is found.

3. Excessive work pressure: If women of childbearing age are under work pressure for a long time, the function of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland will be inhibited, so that the uterus and ovaries will no longer secrete estrogen and ovulate, and the menstrual period will begin to be disrupted. Similarly, long-term depression, anger or bad mentality will also affect the menstrual period.

4. Taking medicine indiscriminately: Abuse or frequent and excessive use of antibiotics can cause menstrual disorders, anovulation, and amenorrhea for women. This may be because the drugs suppress and damage a person's own resistance, causing body function problems. Long-term use of emergency contraception can cause endocrine imbalance and lead to delayed menstruation.
