It is a colorless, flammable, volatile, aromatic liquid mixed in proportion with esters, alcohols, ketones, and benzene organic solvents. It can cause poisoning through skin contact, oral ingestion, and respiratory absorption, and is highly toxic to the human body.

After poisoning, nausea, vomiting, delirium, drowsiness and even coma may occur, and liver and kidney failure, DIC, respiratory failure, circulatory failure, and multiple organ failure may occur. The lethal dose of paint thinner is small, and if a person takes a few milliliters orally, he or she may be poisoned and die if treatment is not timely, and the mortality rate is extremely high.

"We encounter many cases of accidental ingestion like this every year in the emergency department, so remember to be cautious in life." Huang Yan, director of the emergency center, reminds everyone not to put harmful chemicals in beverage cans (bottles), let alone mix them with daily necessities.
