Article 4: The environment and health are closely related. Protecting the environment promotes health.

Interpretation: A good ecological environment is the foundation for human survival and development. Many diseases suffered by humans are closely related to environmental pollution. Uncontrolled consumption of resources and environmental pollution are the root causes of ecological environmental deterioration. Everyone has the responsibility to care for the environment and protect it from pollution and destruction. If any behavior that damages the ecological environment is found, it should be dissuaded or reported in a timely manner.

Comply with laws and regulations on environmental protection, pay attention to social morality, consciously develop good habits of saving resources and not polluting the environment, and advocate a civilized, healthy, green, low-carbon, simple and moderate lifestyle. Reduce resource consumption and implement garbage classification. Give priority to green and environmentally friendly products, reduce the use of disposable consumer goods, save water and electricity, use air conditioners moderately, and practice low-carbon travel.

Keep the home environment clean and tidy, clean the indoor and courtyard regularly, and leave no dead corners. The kitchen and toilet are free of odor. Garbage is collected and sorted daily. Protect the public environment, keep pets in a standardized manner, clean up pet feces, and do not disturb others during cultural and sports activities, so as to jointly create a clean, comfortable, quiet and beautiful living environment.

Climate change and extreme weather events may affect health. Green consumption and low-carbon travel can help mitigate climate change. The elderly, children, pregnant women, patients and outdoor workers are vulnerable groups. They should pay close attention to weather forecasts, air quality information and meteorological disaster warning information, and take precautions against risks in advance. In extreme weather, we should pay more attention to changes in underlying diseases and seek medical treatment in a timely manner. In heavy pollution weather, we should try to reduce or avoid outdoor activities. In high temperature and heat wave weather, we should try to avoid the heat and prevent heat stroke. In low temperature and cold wave weather, we should keep warm and prevent frostbite. In typhoon and rainstorm weather, we should prevent accidental injuries such as drowning.
