For today's young people, every time they go to the hospital for a physical examination, it is undoubtedly a major prayer scene. On the one hand, they pray that the various indicators in the report can remain normal and not go red; on the other hand, they hope that they will encounter as few embarrassing items as possible during the physical examination, such as taking off pants.

Although I was nervous, I had to have a physical examination. When going to the hospital for a physical examination, in addition to being mentally prepared, there are actually many things that must be prepared.

Clothing

1. Choose clothing that is as light and loose as possible.

Physical examinations are inseparable from electrocardiograms, which can screen for coronary heart disease, arrhythmias, cor pulmonale, etc. When doing this test, clips with electrodes will gently clamp the limbs, and the chest needs to be fixed in place by a suction ball. This means that you have to expose your chest, wrists, and ankles. If you wear relatively cumbersome clothes, such as dresses, pantyhose, or more complicated clothes, it will take a long time to undress.

Of course, it's not just women who need to be careful. The tight-fitting pants that men love to wear can also cause inconvenience during the examination. Not only will these pants be disliked by girlfriends, but they may also be "disliked" by doctors. It's not just pants, any clothes that are too tight will be the same.

2. Check carefully whether there is any metal configuration on the body

Before doing an MRI, every piece of clothing on your body should be checked. Do not bring any zippers, metal rings in your underwear, or metal dentures with you.

Magnetic resonance imaging can accurately image organs and tissues in the human body, but its detection process is carried out in a strong magnetic field. If metal enters, it will be drawn into the machine like a magnet, causing accidents. If you wear dentures, the dentures will generate heat under the influence and damage the mouth.

Some people may want to buy a magnet to check each one, but in fact, magnets can only attract a few metals. For safety reasons, it is best to wear clothes without any pendants or accessories. But be careful that the accessories at the end of the elastic band of sweatpants may also be made of metal.

3. Do not do manicure before the examination. If you have any, remove them immediately.

During painless gastroenteroscopy, the patient is often in a state of deep sedation or anesthesia. In order to determine whether the patient is adequately oxygenated, the anesthesiologist will wear a small finger pulse oximeter clip on the patient's finger to monitor blood oxygen saturation. If there is any abnormality, the doctor can deal with it in time to ensure safety.

Manicure has gone beyond the "pure application of nail polish" of 20 years ago. It not only requires a layer of construction, but also may be matched with nail polish, and then various accessories are attached on it. These things will hinder the transmission of light and affect the timeliness and accuracy of blood oxygen saturation monitoring. And dark-colored manicure will have a greater impact on the results.

For the sake of accuracy and your wallet, it is best to do it after the test. After all, a manicure is quite expensive now. At the same time, remember not to wear makeup or contact lenses, as they are like a mask that will cover up the true situation of the person being tested.

Diet

1. Don’t drink alcohol before doing liver-related projects

Drinking alcohol can affect relevant indicators in the blood as well as liver transaminase and blood uric acid levels, thereby affecting the doctor's diagnosis.

2. Do not eat animal organs containing blood before doing a fecal occult blood test

Everyone has had the experience of receiving a small bottle at school when they were young and going home to collect feces. Although stool testing is embarrassing, it can screen for gastroenteritis, liver disease, digestive tract tumors, etc.

However, animal offal containing blood, such as pig liver and duck blood, may change the results of your stool test and cause it to appear as a false positive.

3. Never eat before doing fasting projects, and try not to drink water

Before doing liver function, blood lipid, abdominal ultrasound, Helicobacter pylori breath test and gastrointestinal endoscopy, you must ensure fasting for 8 hours. Before doing urine routine, blood sugar, liver function, blood lipid and abdominal ultrasound tests, you need to ensure not to drink water on the same day. If you need to take medicine, you can drink a small amount of water, less than 100ml.

4. Try to avoid consuming all kinds of high-calorie, high-fat, high-purine and high-sugar foods

High-sugar foods such as milk tea, cakes, and carbonated drinks will affect blood sugar testing, while seafood, hot pot, and beef and mutton soup will affect a person's uric acid levels.

Physical examination is to detect the physical condition of a person. These foods will change a certain value in the body quickly in a short period of time, thus giving wrong results. In order to ensure the accuracy of the examination, it is best to maintain a light diet and control your mouth three days before the examination.

Behavior

1. Don’t do strenuous exercise or stay up late

After each exercise, blood pressure and heart rate will change, which will not only promote the release of insulin and glucocorticoids, but also consume human energy and affect blood sugar levels. Staying up late will also affect the normal functioning of various organs in the body.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the test, it is best to maintain a good lifestyle three days before the physical examination.

2. Women should calculate the menstrual cycle to determine the time for urine test

There is no sphincter in the channel of menstrual blood, so you can't hold it back just because you want to. In order to get accurate results, you must carefully calculate the menstrual cycle and then determine when to do a urine test.

But it should be noted that the menstrual cycle is not calculated in months, but from the day of the first bleeding from the last menstrual period to the day of the current menstrual period. Under normal circumstances, the menstrual cycle is between 21 and 35 days.

3. Refusing to have a physical examination is shameful

Diseases, especially gynecological diseases, have caused many people to have psychological traumas about physical examinations. At the same time, some male friends may also have aversion to projects such as digital rectal examinations, but they can help doctors diagnose various diseases in places such as rectal cancer, rectum and prostate.

The purpose of a physical examination is to prevent existing problems from getting worse. For many doctors, you are not a high-spirited "urban beauty" in the workplace, nor a "family head" who chats about everything at the wine table, but just an equal patient.

Of course, while we cooperate with the doctor's examination, we should not ignore our true feelings. Only when doctors and patients can express their true feelings can the physical examination be completed and better testing tools and methods can be promoted.

But then again, instead of being nervous before the annual physical examination and feeling dejected when looking at the red index in the report, it is better to pay more attention to the little things in daily life and maintain a regular diet and rest schedule.
