From May 7 to 8, the Quanzhou Science and Technology Association held a reading class on party discipline. We thoroughly studied and implemented the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, carefully studied the newly revised "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China", and guided the party members and cadres of the city's science and technology association system to learn, know, understand and abide by the discipline. All party members of the party branches of the Municipal Science and Technology Association, secretaries and discipline inspection members of the party branches of the Municipal Science and Technology Association's science and technology societies participated in the study, and the head of the discipline inspection and supervision group of the Municipal CPPCC stationed by the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision attended the meeting to provide guidance.

The reading class is conducted through expert guidance, exchanges and discussions, on-site teaching, and tests on what should be known and what should be done. On the basis of studying the newly revised "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China" in its entirety and chapter by chapter, Yang Xiaoyi, deputy director of the Fourth Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and a first-level chief clerk, was invited to give a special interpretation.

Wu Baozhong, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Municipal Science and Technology Association, emphasized in the exchange and discussion that we must strengthen demonstration and guidance, play a leading and key role, and promote the in-depth and practical study and education of party discipline. We must play a "key role" to set higher standards and implement stricter requirements in learning, knowing, understanding and abiding by discipline, and fully and accurately grasp the various disciplinary provisions of the "Regulations" to be cautious in words and deeds.

We must adhere to a strict and pragmatic style of work, implement the requirements in accordance with them, focus on long-term and daily work, and effectively improve the effectiveness of party discipline learning and education. We must combine the study of the "Regulations" with the study of the Party Constitution, the Central Committee's eight regulations and other party disciplines and rules, and with the study of superior reports and typical cases. We must persist in learning, comparing, reviewing, and rectifying while we study, constantly strengthen the ideological defense line, and insist on strict ideological training, strict work standards, strict style formation, and strict self-discipline, so that iron discipline becomes a daily habit and is consciously followed.
