Seven ways to prevent esophageal cancer?

As the saying goes, “food is the most important thing for people.” my country has eight major cuisines and a variety of delicacies. What foodies care about most every day is “what to eat today.” But do you know?

More than half of the world's esophageal cancer occurs in my country. Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor that seriously threatens the health of Chinese residents.

**The main manifestations are three sensations and one pain: **a feeling of choking when swallowing, a foreign body sensation, discomfort behind the sternum, and pain behind the sternum.

Seven aspects to pay attention to

1. Dietary stimulation

Esophageal cancer is a disease that comes from the mouth, so controlling your diet is the key. Eating too fast for a long time, eating too hot food, eating too hard food, eating too fast...

These bad eating habits will repeatedly damage the esophagus over a long period of time, causing trauma to the esophageal mucosa, and will keep the esophagus in a state of "inflammation-damage-repair" for a long time, which is likely to induce esophageal cancer. So stop telling people to "eat quickly" or "eat while it's hot"!

Note: Develop good and scientific eating habits, chew your meals slowly, avoid eating hot food, and remember that the food temperature must not exceed 65°C.

2. Stimulation from tobacco and alcohol

Smoking and excessive drinking can also induce esophageal cancer. 80-90% of esophageal cancer patients have the habit of smoking and drinking. There are 69 clear carcinogens in tobacco, and drinking strong liquor can directly burn the esophageal mucosa. It can be seen that the combination of tobacco and alcohol is extremely harmful.

Note: Quit smoking and drinking.

3. Pickled food & moldy food

Pickles, bacon, smoked fish, fermented tofu, etc. are common foods on our table, but these pickled products may synthesize a kind of nitrosamine, which is a well-deserved strong carcinogen.

In addition, moldy food also has strong carcinogenic effects, and mycotoxins and nitrosamines have a synergistic carcinogenic effect.

Note: Do not eat pickled or moldy food, eat a balanced diet, and consume more fresh vegetables and fruits.

4. Oral hygiene

Studies have shown that the occurrence of esophageal cancer is closely related to oral hygiene. Oral bacteria and dental caries increase the risk of esophageal cancer. It is also very important to maintain oral health and care for teeth in preventing esophageal cancer.

It is recommended to brush your teeth with the Bass brushing method. In order to ensure that each tooth surface has sufficient brushing time, each brushing time should be no less than three minutes, and you should brush your teeth at least once a day in the morning and evening.

5. Esophageal diseases

Patients with esophageal diseases have an extremely high risk of developing esophageal cancer. Gastric contents reflux into the esophagus, and gastric acid corrodes and damages the esophageal mucosa over a long period of time, eventually inducing esophageal adenocarcinoma.

6. Uneven Nutrition Intake

Residents in areas with a high incidence of esophageal cancer lack fresh vegetables, fruits and animal foods in their daily diet, lack vitamins and trace elements, and have unreasonable dietary structure and unbalanced nutrient intake, which are closely related to the incidence of esophageal cancer.

7. Genetic factors

Esophageal cancer has a familial clustering tendency, and the incidence rate of children of esophageal cancer patients is higher than that of the general population.

Note: People with a family history of cancer should be more vigilant and have regular check-ups.
