What is the normal progesterone level in seven weeks of pregnancy?

Progesterone refers to a biologically active estrogen secreted by the uterus and ovaries of female friends. It is a very important growth hormone in the female body. Therefore, the level of progesterone value is closely related to the health status of our female friends. So, what does a higher or lower progesterone level indicate? What should be the standard value of progesterone in a woman who is seven weeks pregnant?

What is the standard value of progesterone in seven weeks of pregnancy?

Normal situation: follicular phase 0.6-1.0nmol/L ovulation phase 2.40-9.40nmol/L post-ovulation 20.8-103.0nmol/L

Progesterone levels in early pregnancy have the following effects:

(A) Progesterone levels inhibit uterine contractions

Some people believe that progesterone levels can change the permeability of the uterine muscle cytoplasm to positive ions, causing the membrane to be in a hyperpolarized state, thereby reducing the fluid regulation of the uterine muscle and, at the same time, reducing the sensitivity of the uterine muscle to various stimuli (especially oxytocin). Some people hold the opposite opinion, thinking that although the test proves that progesterone inhibits the stimulation of the uterine muscle, it is an external standard and the amount used in the test far exceeds the physiological concentration.

(ii) Progesterone value maintains decidual response

Decidual cells are transformed from endometrial stromal cells and contain glycogen granules, which provide nutrients for the blastocyst. Injection of rabbit anti-mouse decidual blood cells into pregnant mice can induce abortion, indicating the necessity of decidua to maintain pregnancy. Removal of both uterus and ovaries from animals with pseudopregnancy decidual reaction can cause decidual necrosis and vaporization; administration of exogenous progesterone can prevent decidual degeneration.

(III) Progesterone value inhibits immune response

The fertilized egg is a semi-allogeneic graft (Semiallograft), but why is the embryo not rejected by the pregnant mother's immune system when it implants? Some people have found that when some tumor cells are transplanted into the uterus of animals, only in the animals injected with progesterone, the tumor cells are not rejected and embed into the endometrium, indicating that progesterone can suppress the immune response.

How to supplement low progesterone during pregnancy?

1. Diet therapy

If the progesterone level is low during pregnancy, the doctor recommends going to the hospital for treatment, supplementing with natural progesterone under the doctor's instructions, eating foods such as soybeans to help increase progesterone levels (lutein copper), and eating some fruits rich in pectin and dietary fiber in moderation, which will not cause large fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

2. Medicinal supplements

Corpus luteum copper is used clinically for the reflective diagnosis of amenorrhea or the causes of amenorrhea such as threatened abortion and habitual abortion.

Intramuscular injection, 10-20 mg per time.

(1) Habitual abortion: 10-20 mg is injected intramuscularly once a day or 2-3 times a week until the fourth month of pregnancy.

(2) Menstrual pain: Inject 5-10 mg daily 6-8 days before menstruation for a total of 4-6 days. The treatment process can be repeated many times. For menstrual pain caused by uterine hypoplasia, it can be used in combination with estrogen.
