Although the concept of health applies to everyone, men and women face different health risks as they age. Men rarely seek medical treatment for many reasons, such as the general feeling that minor illnesses can be cured by themselves, or the feeling that seeing a doctor at every turn seems unmanly. Sometimes even some physical illnesses may be too private and may become the main reason for men to refuse medical treatment. But dear fathers, you need to take care of yourself. Do you know the top ten men's health issues that the Internet pays attention to? Let's take a look at these health issues and pay attention to the physical health and happiness of fathers. 1. Prostate problems require early prevention and treatment As the saying goes, "women have periods, men have prostates." The prostate is a sex gland unique to men, and it continues to grow as they age. If men do not pay attention to protecting their prostates, many complications may occur once they become sick. The prostate controls two important functions of men. Urinary control function: The urethra passes through the center of the prostate. Therefore, an enlarged prostate will compress the urethra, causing symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and difficulty urinating. If there is a dysfunction, it will directly or indirectly affect sexual function. At the same time, the fluid secreted by the prostate is also an important component of male semen, which plays a vital role in sperm survival and male reproductive function. Therefore, the prostate of men is the "gland of life". Male prostate problems need early prevention and diagnosis and treatment. 2. Male sexual dysfunction affects self-confidence and happiness Sexual activity is a complex physiological process that is completed through a series of conditioned reflexes and unconditioned reflexes. Sexual activity includes five links: sexual desire, penile erection, sexual intercourse, ejaculation and orgasm. When any of these links is impaired and affects normal sexual function, it is called male sexual dysfunction. After sexual dysfunction occurs, do not be overly anxious, because psychological states such as anxiety and depression will aggravate sexual dysfunction and lead to a vicious cycle. You should go to the urology clinic of a regular hospital to actively look for the cause, conduct timely and effective treatment for the cause, understand and find a suitable treatment plan, and restore self-confidence and happiness. 3. Male infertility issues, understand the causes and solutions. Male infertility refers to the infertility caused by the man when a couple lives together for more than one year without taking any contraceptive measures, excluding the female factor. There are many causes of male infertility, and we should treat the causes effectively. For example, treatment for sexual life problems: treatment of erectile dysfunction can help treat infertility, or patients with too high or too low androgen levels need to adjust androgen levels to the normal range. If there is varicocele or obstruction in the duct that transports sperm, the patient needs surgery. For patients with sperm production disorders, or good sperm production function but defective vas deferens or retrograde ejaculation that cannot be improved by conventional treatment, assisted reproductive technology can be used to conceive. Fathers should also prevent various infectious diseases that endanger fertility, such as mumps, sexually transmitted diseases, etc., master certain sexual knowledge, understand male physiological characteristics and health knowledge, and if the testicles are found to be different from usual changes, they must be diagnosed and treated in time. At the same time, we must strengthen our awareness of self-protection, especially occupational protection. If you are often exposed to radioactive substances, high temperatures and poisons, you must strictly follow the operating regulations and protection regulations. Don't be careless. If you want to have a child in the near future, it is best to leave this type of work for half a year before having a child. Figure 2 Copyright image, no permission to reprint 4. Lung cancer threat, quit smoking to protect your respiratory system Male smokers have a higher risk of lung cancer. Bad habits such as smoking and staying up late are important causes of lung cancer. Among smokers, men are the main group; at work, men bear greater pressure than women. In addition, staying up late for a long time may make men miss the best time to repair their body functions, resulting in decreased immunity and increased risk of disease. Men are also less aware of changes in their bodies, and they don't take it to heart even if they feel uncomfortable. The main symptom of lung cancer in the early stage is coughing. If there is no reason or the cough caused by the specific condition cannot be explained, you should go to the hospital for a formal examination, such as a lung CT or bronchoscopy, so as to get timely treatment. Because men have more social activities and often drink alcohol, this will cause varying degrees of damage to the liver, leading to alcoholic cirrhosis, and in severe cases, liver cancer. In addition, men are more likely to engage in extroverted work and come into contact with a wider range of people, so they are also more likely to suffer from hepatitis. In addition, some men often smoke and do heavy physical and mental labor for a long time, which will put the body in a state of overload for a long time, resulting in a decrease in the body's immunity. In addition, if they do not pay attention to the care of the liver, they are also likely to suffer from hepatitis B. Therefore, we should actively prevent hepatitis and liver cancer and keep the liver healthy. 6. Bladder problems, beware of irregular medical treatment Men are prone to bladder urination problems such as frequent urination, urgent urination, and urinary retention. The main reasons are related to chronic prostatitis, prostatic hyperplasia and other diseases. If you have frequent urination, urgent urination, difficulty urinating, etc., be wary of irregular consultations and treatment methods on the Internet to avoid being deceived. You should go to a regular hospital as soon as possible to conduct urinary system color Doppler ultrasound, urine routine and other examinations to further clarify the cause and provide timely and effective treatment for the cause. 7. Sexual activity, preventive protection measures should be in place Men should maintain normal sexual habits according to different age stages and different physical conditions. Too frequent sexual life can cause fatigue, forgetfulness, insomnia and other symptoms in men. In the long run, it will affect the quality of sexual life and daily life. Fathers should pay attention to increasing outdoor activities such as physical exercise to improve physical fitness, so as to ensure the high quality of sexual life. Of course, when engaging in sexual activities, you need to understand the risks of sexually transmitted diseases and how to take appropriate protective measures. 8. Mental health issues, maintaining inner balance and seeking support Unhealthy lifestyles and heavy and stressful working environments put men under more physical and psychological pressure, so men are more likely to suffer from psychological trauma and mental health problems. Men with long-term psychological pressure will experience depression and anxiety, which will not only cause endocrine disorders, fatigue, forgetfulness, temper and irritability, but also cause sexual disharmony and even sexual dysfunction, making it difficult to conceive, and even affect the quality of sperm. Therefore, fathers should actively seek psychological counseling and treatment if they show signs of depression and anxiety in the early stages. 9. Obesity and metabolic syndrome, a major burden on a sweet life Obesity and metabolic syndrome (hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, etc.) have an important impact on men's health. "Three highs" refers to diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Normal vascular function is the physiological basis for penile erection. "Three highs" can easily lead to vascular lesions, such as penile artery damage, atherosclerosis and other causes leading to impotence. In addition, hyperlipidemia, obesity and other causes of hypertension will also increase the incidence of impotence; diabetes and hyperlipidemia can easily cause atherosclerosis, leading to penile vascular lesions, and patients will experience impotence. Therefore, "three highs" are the cause of impotence. When men become obese, their body fat increases, which leads to a decrease in androgen secretion and loss of libido. At the same time, abdominal fat becomes thicker, the length of the penis shortens significantly, and sexual function deteriorates. Obesity is accompanied by various diseases, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, which can also lead to sexual dysfunction, forming a vicious cycle.
