How to regulate damp heat in the lower abdomen? What the experts say

Damp-heat in the lower abdomen is a common symptom in the human body. This symptom can easily cause many discomforts in the human body, so many patients want to alleviate the condition through conditioning. So how should damp-heat in the lower abdomen be conditioned?

What is lower jiao damp heat

Damp-heat in the lower abdomen is a disease name in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It refers to a disease characterized by damp-heat invading the lower abdomen, large intestine, or bladder, with common clinical manifestations such as dribbling and burning urination or urinary retention, fishy and loose stools or constipation, lower abdominal distension and pain, or yellowish, white and fishy vaginal discharge, fever and thirst, heaviness and fatigue, red tongue with yellow greasy coating, and a weak and rapid or slippery pulse. Clinically, it is often seen in damp-heat dysentery, damp-heat diarrhea, stranguria, urinary retention, vaginal itching, leucorrhea, swelling and pain in the joints of the lower limbs, and damp athlete's foot infection. (Diseases in the lower part of the body are caused by dampness and heat.) The main method of treatment is to clear away heat and dampness.

How to regulate dampness and heat in the lower abdomen

1. Daily health care

Damp-heat in the lower abdomen is a type of damp-heat syndrome, and daily health care is the same as that for damp-heat syndrome. Damp-heat syndrome exists because heat often attaches to dampness, so attention should be paid to improving the living environment and regulating the diet. It is not advisable to overeat, drink less alcohol (the nature of dampness and heat is the greatest), and not drink excessively. The diet should be light, and eat less fatty, greasy foods, sweets, and spicy foods. This is to maintain good digestive function and avoid internal retention of dampness or entry of dampness from the outside. This is the key to preventing damp-heat. Especially quit smoking and drinking. Eat more foods that can remove dampness, such as mung beans, winter melon, loofah, red beans, watermelon, green tea, scented tea, lentils, coix seeds, etc.

2. Diet therapy

(1) Stewed pigeon: pigeon, yam, poria, wolfberry, longan, lotus seeds, red dates, and coix seed. Simmer over low heat for 3 hours. Efficacy: Nourishes the heart, strengthens the spleen, tonifies the kidneys, replenishes qi, and removes dampness.

(2) Pot with Poria cocos and snake larvae: Poria cocos, water snake larvae, two red dates, and one slice of ginger. Method: Cut the water snake into sections, wash it, blanch it (boil it in hot water for a while) and set aside. Then peel and slice the wild yam. Then put the red dates, ginger slices, water snake segments and wild yam slices into the stewing pot, stew over high heat for 3 hours, and add salt to taste when drinking.

(3) Carp and Bamboo Shoot Soup: 1 carp, fresh bamboo shoots, watermelon rind, black-eyed peas, ginger and red dates in appropriate amounts. Peel off the hard shell of bamboo shoots, then peel off the old skin, slice them horizontally, and soak them in water for 1 day; remove the gills and internal organs of the carp, but do not remove the scales, wash and fry them briefly until they turn yellow; wash the black-eyed peas, watermelon rind, ginger, and red dates (pitted). Put all the ingredients into a pot of boiling water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for 2 hours, add salt to taste and serve. Efficacy: Remove dampness and reduce turbidity, strengthen the spleen and promote diuresis. Suitable for heaviness and drowsiness, scanty urination and high blood pressure. Bamboo shoots are a low-fat, low-sugar, high-fiber food that promotes intestinal motility, aids digestion, prevents and treats constipation, and also has anti-cancer effects.

(4) Mung bean and winter melon soup: 100 grams of mung beans, 500 grams of winter melon (with skin). Soak the mung beans in cold water for 2 hours, cut the winter melon (with skin) into pieces, add 2 slices of ginger and bring to a boil, then continue to simmer over low heat until cooked. Remove ginger and add salt to taste when serving.

(5) Stew pork tripe with Imperata cylindrica root, corn silk, red dates and pork tripe. Features: Removes dampness and reduces swelling. Procedure: Wash and cut the pig tripe into pieces, rub it with salt and cornstarch, and then rinse it clean. First put it into boiling water and cook for 15 minutes, then take it out and rinse it in clean water. After removing the core of the red dates, wash them together with the Imperata root and corn silk, soak them in clean water for a while, then put them into a clay pot together with the pig tripe and add about 8 bowls of clean water. After boiling over high heat, simmer over low heat for 2 hours. You can add an appropriate amount of salt and a small amount of cooking oil.

(6) Plantain Tea: Add 100g of plantain to 800ml of water, boil for 15 minutes, and drink the juice instead of tea.
