1. Fruit and vegetable chips

Fruit and vegetable chips are made by vacuum-frying and dehydrating fresh fruits and vegetables. Although they consume much less energy than frying them directly in a frying pan, they are not as healthy as you might think. Frying and dehydration will cause most of the vitamins and cellulose to be lost, and a large amount of sugar, salt and other condiments will be added during the production process, which will greatly increase the energy and salt content. It is even more undesirable to use fruit and vegetable chips to replace fruits and vegetables, especially for children during their growth and development period, as this may lead to insufficient intake of relevant nutrients.

2. Fruit and vegetable juice

Some people who want to lose weight or are afraid of trouble replace their daily intake of fruits and vegetables by blending fresh fruits and vegetables into juice. In fact, except for special circumstances such as being sick or having difficulty swallowing, it is not recommended to do so on a daily basis, because fruit and vegetable juice is not as good as you think.

1. Nutrients are lost

Whether it is a juicer, juicer, food processor, or wall-breaking machine, the processed fruit and vegetable juice is still a little different from eating these fruits and vegetables directly. Eating fruits and vegetables directly absorbs more nutrients.

2. Sweetness can overwork the pancreas

Nuts contain protein, fat, carbohydrates; they also contain vitamins (vitamin B, E, etc.), trace elements (phosphorus, calcium, zinc, iron), dietary fiber, etc.; in addition, they also contain unsaturated fatty acids, including linolenic acid, linoleic acid and other essential fatty acids for the human body. According to the fat content, nuts are usually divided into two categories, one is starch nuts, such as chestnuts, lotus seeds, and Euryale ferox, and the other is oil nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, cashews, pistachios, pine nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. No matter what kind of nuts, they are all high-energy foods. While providing everyone with rich nutrition and emotional value, they are not as "healthy" as everyone imagines. The main reasons are as follows:

1. Many people cannot control the amount of nuts they eat

According to the recommendations of the "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022 Edition)", it is more appropriate for each person to eat 50-70 grams of nuts per week, an average of about 10 grams per day, which is approximately equivalent to 2 walnuts/15 peanuts/10 almonds/a handful of melon seeds.

2. The energy of processed and seasoned nuts is off the charts

It is actually fine to eat a small amount of original nuts every day, but now there are many processed and seasoned nuts on the market, with sugar, salt, and even various flavors added to the original flavors, and the energy content is several times higher than that of original nuts. When buying, try to avoid choosing processed nuts with high sugar and salt content.

4. Chicken Feet

Chicken feet are a favorite snack for many people, especially braised and fried ones. Although chicken feet don't have much meat, their energy is really not low. Compared with chicken breast, chicken legs, chicken wings, etc. of the same weight, its energy is the highest. If it is fried or braised, the energy of chicken feet will increase. In addition, the protein in chicken feet is mainly collagen with low utilization rate. Overall, the nutritional value of chicken feet is not high.

5. Preserved Fruits

Preserved fruits are made from various fruits and vegetables, pickled with sugar, salt or honey. This method of pickling makes the salt and sugar content of this kind of food very high. It is recommended that this kind of food should be eaten less, and people who are losing weight or have three highs should try not to eat it.

6. Milk drinks

Although milk drinks are made from milk or dairy products, with water and appropriate auxiliary materials added and then prepared or fermented, their nutritional value is low and the sugar they contain is different from the lactose in milk. Most of it is free sucrose, which is harmful to health. Even if you only drink a bottle in the morning, the energy content will be several times that of drinking a bottle of the same amount of milk.

7. Non-fried potato chips

The processing technology of non-fried potato chips is to spray oil on the surface and dry them with hot air to make them dry and crispy. They do not need to be fried but oil is still used. Even though the fat content is reduced, the energy of potatoes is not low, and with the presence of oil, it is still a high-fat, high-energy food.
