Adjust the light and use your eyes properly

Correct eye posture can reduce the burden on the eyes, relieve visual fatigue, and thus prevent myopia from getting worse. But now many friends have become "whatever is comfortable", as far as playing with mobile phones is concerned, they can play while lying down, lying on their stomachs, or turning off the lights, and the distance between the eyes and the screen is getting closer and closer, because the screen itself can emit light, and it is often used in a dark environment. In this case, the posture of playing with the phone is comfortable, but have you considered the feeling of your eyes?

It should not be too close, and try to keep your eyes level. In addition, the light source of the eye environment should be stable, with moderate brightness and even light distribution.

Control the time you use your eyes and ensure adequate rest

The continuous use of eyes should not exceed 40 minutes. Every 40 minutes or so, you should take a 10-minute break, such as looking into the distance or doing eye exercises. Children aged 3-6 should not use electronic products for more than 1 hour a day, and no more than 15 minutes each time. If you want to watch cartoons, it is best to use a TV or projector to ensure a suitable screen distance.

Increase time for outdoor exercise

Increasing the time of outdoor activities and exposure to natural light can effectively slow down the progression of myopia. Outdoor activities in the sun can effectively increase the content of dopamine in the eyes, increase the thickness of the choroid, inhibit the growth of the eye axis, and control the development of myopia.

Scientific correction of myopia

In fact, the "culprit" of worsening myopia is not just the problem of one's own eye habits. If the prescription of the glasses is inaccurate, it will also cause extra burden on the eyes. If you are myopic and don't wear glasses, it may cause visual fatigue due to unclear vision. Over time, it will cause changes in visual functions such as accommodation and convergence, which will not only easily deepen myopia, but may even cause strabismus.

Get enough sleep

Lack of sleep may affect the eyes through different pathways such as endocrine, neural, and immune, thereby reducing eye comfort and leading to decreased vision. Therefore, while taking in adequate nutrition, it is equally important to ensure adequate sleep. Primary school students should sleep 10 hours a day, junior high school students 9 hours, and high school students 8 hours. This is not only very important for the physical development of children and adolescents, but also beneficial to visual development.
