"Medical Collection" records: "It benefits the heart and restrains the lungs." Usage and dosage: Steam or mash it for internal use or use it raw; mash it for external use.

"Compendium of Materia Medica": "It can eliminate heat and toxins, disperse bad blood, eliminate fullness and annoyance, ventilate, strengthen the spleen and stomach, and make people eat delicious food." "Shennong's Herbal Classic": "It can eliminate heat and toxins, carbuncle, disperse bad blood, fullness and annoyance, and treat edema and muscle swelling." Usage and dosage: Take 9-30g orally; for external use, grind into powder and apply.

Modern research has found that adzuki beans are effective in treating acute nephritis, ascites due to liver cirrhosis, chickenpox, mumps, inflammatory external hemorrhoids, skin diseases, etc., and also have multiple effects such as anti-oxidation and estrogen-like effects.
