There are 4 signs after infection, the virus may have invaded your lungs

White lung is a verbal concept in imaging, used to describe the white area on chest X-rays and CT scans. Not all pneumonia means white lung. The standard for white lung is that the white area on the image reaches 70%-80%. This type of pneumonia is often more serious and falls into the category of severe illness.

Why does white lung appear? There are two main reasons. First, the new coronavirus itself will affect the lungs. If the immune system is weak, the lungs are more likely to be invaded by the virus, and the symptoms of pneumonia are more likely to worsen, leading to white lung. Second, other bacteria and viruses are co-infected. Other viruses and bacteria can also cause pneumonia, such as respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, Legionella, etc.

If you are worried that you or your family may have pneumonia, you can use these methods to determine:

1. Coughing for more than 2 weeks, coughing up blood, coughing up large amounts of thick yellow sputum, and coughing worse at night.

2. Respiratory rate exceeds 30 times per minute, heart rate is greater than 120 beats per minute, and chest tightness occurs.

3. The body temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees for more than 5 consecutive days and the medication is ineffective.

4. The body temperature is lower than 36 degrees, the consciousness is weak, the patient is drowsy, and the reaction becomes slow.

If conditions permit, you can have a blood oximeter at home and test it if you experience difficulty breathing or chest tightness.
