Meta: Threads currently has 275 million monthly active users

Meta recently said that its social network Threads now has 275 million monthly active users (MAUs). "@Threads has surpassed 275 million monthly active users. Sincere thanks to everyone who helped us get to this point. There is still a lot of work to do and a lot of problems to solve, but everything here is exciting," said Adam Mosseri, Meta executive in charge of Threads and Instagram.

Meta said Sunday that its social network Threads now has 275 million monthly active users (MAUs). "Yesterday, @Threads passed 275 million MAUs. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us get to this point. There's a lot more work to do and a lot of problems to solve, but it's all very exciting here," said Adam Mosseri, Meta executive in charge of Threads and Instagram.

Threads was launched in July 2023 to take advantage of millions of users leaving the platform following Elon Musk’s acquisition of X. The platform passed the 150 million MAU mark in April and reached 200 million MAU in August, meaning it gained 75 million active users in just 3 months.

Last week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on the company's conference call following its third-quarter 2024 earnings report that a million people are signing up for Threads every day.

While the platform’s user numbers are on the rise, Threads is facing some issues that are in dire need of revisions, frustrating its users.
