The location of a woman's stomach

The location of a woman's stomach

The stomach is particularly important to the human body and determines whether everyone's digestive tract is healthy. However, most people may not know where the stomach is actually located. Especially for many women, they don't know the condition of their internal organs. So, where is a woman's stomach located?

The stomach is the body's digestive system, located below the diaphragm, connected to the esophagus above and the colon below. The upper opening of the stomach is the pylorus, and the lower opening is the cardia. The stomach is also called stomach wrist (guǎn guan, also pronounced wǎn wan), and the ancient pronunciation of "wan" is the same as "guan", and the meanings are also interchangeable. Therefore, the part above the stomach is the esophagus, the part in the stomach is the intestinal tract, and the part between the two is called a gastric tube (wan). It is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower.

The upper end of the stomach is called Shangwan, which includes the pylorus; the middle of the stomach is called Zhongwan, which is part of the stomach body; the lower part of the stomach is called Xiawan, which includes the cardia. "Chinese Medical Dictionary of Stomach" notes: Stomach means the place where food and water gather. It is the digestive organ in the human body, shaped like a sac, larger on the left and smaller on the right, lying horizontally under the diaphragm. The upper part is the pylorus, connected to the esophagus, and the lower part is the cardia, connected to the colon. The stomach is one of the six internal organs.

Most of the stomach is located in the left hypochondrium, and a small part is located in the epigastric area. The anterior wall of the stomach is close to the left lobe of the liver on the right and to the diaphragm on the left, and is covered by the left accessory arch. The anterior wall of the stomach is close to the middle of the left lobe of the liver and the left costal arch, and is immediately in close contact with the anterior wall of the abdomen.

The posterior wall of the stomach is adjacent to the pancreas, transverse colon, left kidney and left adrenaline, and the fundus of the stomach is adjacent to the diaphragm and spleen. The positions of the pylorus and cardia are relatively fixed, with the pylorus located on the left side of the 11th lumbar vertebra and the cardia around the right side of the 1st intervertebral disc. The greater curvature of the stomach is located lower, and its lowest value is generally at the umbilical plane.

So where is the stomach in the body? The position of the stomach varies greatly depending on body shape, posture, whether the stomach is empty or full, etc. The stomach is higher in short and fat people, while it is lower in tall people. The gastric mucosal muscle tension is low, and when you stand up after a full meal, the lowest value of the greater curvature of the stomach reaches the level of the iliac crest.

How to maintain digestive tract health?

1. Warm your stomach in the morning

Drinking a bowl of hot porridge in the morning is the most healthiest secret recipe passed down from ancient times to strengthen the spleen and stomach.

Porridge is easy to digest and has little irritation to the stomach. It is a top-quality breakfast for strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach. Eight-treasure porridge containing a variety of nutrients such as peanut kernels and almonds should be the first choice for breakfast. In addition, it is not suitable to drink cold Coca-Cola soda or iced coffee during breakfast.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, breakfast should focus on maintaining "stomach qi", and it is good to eat soft food, such as hot oatmeal, boiled milk, hot soy milk, and some vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins, and at the same time supplement some desserts that can provide calories for the body.

2. Keep your meals simple

It is more efficient to let the stomach digest 3 to 4 kinds of food after each meal, which is also most conducive to giving full play to the physiological functions of the stomach. If you eat a lot of different foods, more than a dozen kinds of food will greatly increase the digestion and absorption pressure on the stomach. We all have this feeling: after a few days of socializing outside and overeating, we feel sick of all the delicious food and just want to go home and eat some light dishes. This is the main manifestation of overwork in the stomach.

3. Use tea to strengthen the spleen and stomach

Many people feel that green tea has a light taste, which not only refreshes the mind but also detoxifies the liver. Therefore, a cup of green tea is always placed on the office desk all year round. In fact, the health-promoting effects of various types of tea are different. For people with cold stomach, green tea is a more suitable stomach-nourishing product. Especially in cold seasons such as autumn and winter, drinking a cup of warm green tea is very beneficial to digestive health.

4. Reduce unnecessary stimulation

In order to maintain gastrointestinal health, we should also pay attention to reducing the harm of chemical stimulation to the stomach.

Greasy bone soup is as harmful to the liver as strong liquor. Acid-producing foods such as potatoes, sweet potatoes and desserts should be eaten less; overly obvious seasonings such as raw onions, garlic, pepper, curry sauce, mustard sauce, etc. should also be avoided. Steaming, boiling and braising are more beneficial to the protection of the stomach.
