Tantan: 2021 Young People’s Love Report

Recently, Tantan released the "Young People's Love Report", which surveyed the common problems of young people aged 20-30 in love on the Tantan platform . The report shows that 91.8% of male users accept that their lovers have higher incomes than themselves , 63.9% of female users and 58.2% of male users believe that "too small a circle" is the biggest obstacle to their single life ; 14.7% of male users and 11.6% of female users said that they have never been in a relationship and are "born single" . Faced with two ways to find a way out of being single, social software and blind dating, as many as 66.1% of respondents aged 20-23 chose social software instead of blind dating to increase their chances of finding a way out of being single.

In this survey, young users generally have been single for a short time. 60.2% of women have been single for less than one year, while this option accounts for 43.2% of men . 14.7% of males and 11.6% of females said they have never been in a relationship and have been single since birth. "Small circle", "not brave enough, not daring to express love when meeting someone you like", and "not having good conditions" became the top three obstacles to being single as voted by users.

Compared with the traditional way of finding love, such as blind dating, young people prefer social software, which is a self-selected way of finding love. The younger the user, the higher the recognition of social software. Among the 20-23-year-old group, as many as 66.1% of users said that they would rather choose social software to find love, and the proportion of users aged 18-19 was as high as 76.5% . When talking about the actual efforts made to find love, downloading dating software, working hard to make money and improving appearance became the three most common ways to find love.

Although young people today are more and more willing to express themselves, they are still a little shy about pursuing love. 31.7% of men said they have never confessed their love to others, while the proportion of women is as high as 56.1%. Young users are generally more accepting of public confession, with 81.7% of male users "accepting being confessed in public" and 78.7% of female users .

The survey on love history shows that more than 60% of users do not care about the number of times the other person has been in love, but are more concerned about the other person's character in love. 21.4% of male users said they mind the number of times the other person has been in love, while the proportion of female users is 16.3% . The survey found that young users generally have a clear sense of boundaries, and 68% of users said that they should respect the other person's privacy and should not look at the other person's mobile phone.
