What does a woman's chicken breast look like?

People should not be unfamiliar with the disease called pigeon chest. It is a congenital malformation. Generally speaking, it will not lead to pigeon chest after birth. Of course, some unexpected situations may also occur, such as malnutrition in the later stage, which may also lead to pigeon chest. So what does a woman's pigeon breast look like? Let's introduce this issue to people so that they can have some reference.

The formation of pigeon chest in women is generally due to genetics, and acquired calcium deficiency is also one of the factors that cause pigeon chest in women.

1. Pectus carinatum is generally believed to be related to genetics, just like pectus excavatum. Most people believe that it is caused by excessive growth of ribs and costal cartilages, and that the deformity of the sternum is secondary to the deformity of the ribs. Chest wall deformities that affect breathing and circulation, such as pectus excavatum, pectus carinatum, and pectoralis fissure, in addition to the mental burden and personality impact caused by the deformity, the deformity itself also causes damage to respiratory and circulatory functions and requires surgical correction.

2. It may still be due to calcium deficiency. It is recommended to take calcium supplements regularly and exercise outdoors appropriately. This chicken breast is related to calcium deficiency in childhood. At the same time, some people also have certain genetic factors. If the condition is mild, the chest development will generally be alleviated in the future. Pay attention to physical exercise and calcium supplementation.

1. Surgical treatment

1. Sternum rotation surgery

Can be flipped with or without vascular pedicle. The method is basically the same as the surgical method for funnel chest. During the operation, special attention should be paid to the fact that the ribs and costal cartilages of the chicken chest are relatively long, especially the 3rd and 4th ribs and costal cartilages of the chicken chest are the longest, while the 5th rib is relatively short. The resection length should be controlled well, and appropriate trimming is recommended after the sternum is flipped over to achieve good correction.

2. Sternum sedimentation

The incision is usually made in the middle of the chest, or through a transverse incision. First, the pectoralis major muscles on both sides are separated to the deformed costal cartilages on both sides. The rectus abdominis muscles are cut at their attachment points, turned downward, the deformed rib periosteum is cut, and the excessive part is removed. During the operation, the length of the costal cartilage removal should be controlled to avoid compression of the heart by sternal settlement. The excessively long periosteum is sutured longitudinally. If the pectoral muscle deformity is severe, a transverse wedge osteotomy is also required to flatten the sternum. It is then fixed with wire, the pectoralis major muscle is pulled together and sutured, and the rectus abdominis muscle is sutured to the front of the sternum.

2. Non-surgical treatment

1. Static Yoga

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, relax your body and close your eyes slightly. Gently raise your arms forward to the top of your head while inhaling. Pause for a moment, let your arms fall naturally, accompanied by deep exhalation. Do this several times a day for 10 minutes each time.

2. Push-ups or holding dumbbells

Do push-ups or raise your arms in front of you with dumbbells 3-4 times a day, each time for 10 minutes.

3. Single and double bars

Do somersaults on single and double bars on an empty stomach every morning, but don't overexert yourself.

4. Jogging

It helps to enhance visceral activity, expand breathing volume, and improve chest hypoplasia.
