Canalys: Global shipments of smart wearable wristband devices reached 50 million units in Q4 2022

Canalys recently released a report stating that in the fourth quarter of 2022, global shipments of smart wearable wristband devices reached 50 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 18.6% .

The report pointed out that the top five manufacturers all experienced declines to varying degrees.

• Despite a 17% decline, Apple still ranked first with 28% market share .

• Google rose to the second place with an 8% market share thanks to the launch of Pixel smartwatch and Fitbit's multi-category portfolio.

• Due to the pace of new product shipments, Xiaomi did not exert its full strength this quarter and ranked third with a market share of 7% .

• Huawei continued to decline due to the impact of its mobile phone business, while Samsung's watch5 had no obvious iteration advantage and still relied on the weak shipments of the fourth generation at low prices during the festivals. They ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with a market share of 6% .

In the Chinese mainland market, according to the Canalys report, the top five smart wearable wristband device market shares in the fourth quarter of 2022 were Huawei (26%), Xiaomi (17%), Apple (10%), Xiaotiancai (9%), and Honor (4%) .
