Survey shows Americans get the most joy from Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 Plus

Despite the iPhone having the largest market share in the US, American consumers do not seem to be satisfied with owning an iPhone, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index. In fact, these people experience more happiness by using Samsung's Galaxy smartphones.

According to a survey of 21,189 Americans, Samsung's high-end smartphones make them happiest. Although Samsung's Galaxy S21 series smartphones are selling well in the US market, none of the three models in this lineup were selected.

In fact, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus was a real delight to Americans as it topped the country’s customer satisfaction index, followed by the Galaxy S10 Plus.

Samsung ranked first among mobile phone manufacturers in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) with an unchanged score of 81. Last year's leader, Apple, dropped 2% to 80 points, tied for second place with Lenovo, Motorola and Google, which made its debut in the industry rankings. A group of small companies collectively ranked last, with scores dropping 3% to 73 points.

Among the brands, Samsung claimed dominance, with its products receiving the five highest model ratings. Samsung's Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S20+ tied for the most popular smartphone in the United States, with an ACSI score of 85. Samsung's Galaxy S20 and Galaxy A20 followed closely behind, with scores of 84 and 83, respectively.

Five models received an ACSI score of 82: Samsung's Galaxy S10 and Apple's iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone X, and iPhone XS Max.

In short, Apple may control the U.S. smartphone market in terms of volume, but Samsung Galaxy phones are closer to the hearts of customers. Joking aside, the total number of Americans who participated in the survey is a tiny percentage of the entire population, so we should also take that into account when paying attention to the results. We will wait for next year's American Customer Satisfaction Index to see if Samsung's Galaxy series smartphones receive the same treatment as this year.
