App Annie and Liftoff jointly released the "2020 Mobile Financial App Report", which provides a detailed analysis of global user acquisition trends and benchmarks.

In 2019, users accessed financial applications more than 1 trillion times worldwide, and investment saw record growth. In the first three quarters of 2019 alone, companies raised more than $3 billion in venture capital.

This trend is shaping up to be a global race in finance as fintech companies, new e-banks and super apps compete for audience and market share.
