According to the latest data released by Nielsen, Instagram, the photo social application acquired by Facebook, has surpassed Twitter in terms of monthly login users, becoming a more popular mobile application. Nielsen released a list of the top 10 most popular smartphone applications, with Instagram ranking seventh, with an average of about 32 million users logging in each month. Instagram was also the fastest growing application in 2013, with its users increasing by 66% over the previous year. Meanwhile, Twitter ranked tenth with an average of 30.8 million users logging in each month.
