A major UI overhaul and an increase in user numbers haven't made Google+ more active, and there's growing evidence that the search giant's social networking attempt is losing steam. Gigya released the results of a survey on social network login and sharing from April to June. Among the five major social networks, Google+ had the lowest user sharing volume. The effects of e-commerce and media communication were not good either, but Pinterest proved the advantages of "waterfall flow" in commercial display. Another analysis company, SearchMetrics, has a different conclusion from Gigya. SearchMetrics believes that Google+ sharing volume will surpass Facebook in 2016. However, SearchMetrics compares Google's "+1" and Facebook's "Share" buttons. In fact, a more reasonable combination should be "+1" vs. "Like", or Google+ "Share" vs. Facebook "Share". |
