Nielsen: 2011 Q3 UK Smartphone Survey Report: 61% of iPhone users spend £30 per month

Nielsen's third quarter UK smartphone survey showed that 61% of iPhone users spend more than £30 per month on their phones, while the same proportion for Android users is only 24%.

Although Android smartphone sales account for 44% of the market share in the UK, exceeding RIM BlackBerry's 25%, iPhone's 18%, and Symbian's 7%, iPhone users are the most satisfied with their phones, with a proportion as high as 86%, far exceeding the average satisfaction of general smartphone users (72%).

42% of iPhone users pay to download apps every month, but only 15% of Android users do the same.

90% of iPhone users call Apple their favorite mobile phone brand, only 65% ​​of BlackBerry users think RIM is their favorite brand, and even 11% of RIM users think Apple is their favorite.
