SocialBakers: Latest Facebook user growth data in Japan and Taiwan

The latest data from social network analysis tool Socialakers shows that Facebook users in Japan have reached 4.6 million, but Facebook Japan claims that its active users in Japan have reached 5 million (Note: active users here refer to users who have logged into Facebook at least once in the past 30 days).

Although it is still far behind Japanese social platforms such as Mixi, which has 15 million active users, this achievement is indeed a big step forward for Facebook Japan.

Facebook users in Taiwan have reached 10.87 million, accounting for 47.23% of the region's total population and 67.43% of Taiwan's Internet users. In the past six months, more than 876,500 new users have been added.

Compared with other regions with similar numbers of users, Facebook Taiwan’s user coverage is 0.89% higher than Israel’s and 0.35% lower than Malta’s.

Facebook users in Taiwan are mainly concentrated in the age group of 25 to 34, with a total of more than 2.17 million users. Male users account for 51% and female users account for 49%.
