Every drop of alcohol you drink is damaging your brain!

【Written at the end】

In 2018, a study in The Lancet involved 2,800 drinkers around the world. The results showed that no matter how much you drink, it will cause harm to the human body. There is no "safe value" for drinking! The safest amount of alcohol is 0 .

A 30-year study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) tracked 550 drinkers and performed MRI scans on their brains.

The results show that:

People who consume 240g of alcohol (about 1 jin of liquor) per week have the highest risk of hippocampal atrophy, which is 5.8 times that of non-drinkers . For moderate drinkers, who consume 56-168g of alcohol per week, the risk of right hippocampal atrophy is 3.4 times that of non-drinkers. Even for mild drinkers, who consume 8-56g of alcohol per week, there is still a risk of hippocampal atrophy.

Ordinary people generally believe that drinking alcohol is harmful only for one or two days, and the damage to the human body will disappear as the alcohol is metabolized. However, a study in the United States shows that the damage caused by alcohol is far more than one or two days. For at least six weeks , the transmission of nerve signals will be restricted, and the communication between brain neurons will undergo long-term changes.
