Intrauterine contraceptive ring placement is one of the most common gynecological contraceptive methods, which is very simple to operate and relatively stable and long-lasting. What is more common in clinical medicine now is the intrauterine contraceptive ring containing iodine ions. The contraceptive ring is placed in the uterus, usually in the uterus, and releases iodine ions and drugs through mechanical functions to achieve the purpose of contraception. If it is a Genie ring with iodine ions, the placement method is to insert the top of the ring into the muscle wall of the uterine fundus. The remaining part of the Genie ring will naturally be in the uterine cavity, thereby achieving the purpose of contraception. It is generally advisable to insert the IUD 3 to 7 days after the menstrual period is over. The contraceptive ring needs to be inserted into the uterine cavity. After insertion, most of the contraceptive rings will cause aseptic inflammation in the uterine cavity, preventing the embryo from implanting, thereby achieving the purpose of contraception. However, some contraceptive rings achieve the purpose of sterilization by changing the thickness of the uterine wall. For example, after the Mirena ring is inserted into the uterine cavity, it will soften the uterine wall by regularly releasing high-efficiency estrogen, which will also prevent the embryo from implanting and achieve the purpose of contraception. Mirena IUD can also reduce menstrual volume, thereby treating endometriosis and menorrhagia. After the IUD is inserted, it needs regular maintenance, as it may shift out of place and become ineffective as a contraceptive measure. The placement of the contraceptive ring is normal, resulting in a slightly lower chance of pregnancy. Because the contraceptive ring can prevent sperm from entering and combining with sperm and eggs for embryo implantation, it generally does not cause pregnancy. For a very small number of women, although the location of the ring is normal, the life of the ring has expired, which may not only cause endometritis, but also salpingitis and even the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. It is necessary to diagnose whether there is a possibility of pregnancy, because not all delayed menstruation is necessarily caused by pregnancy. For example, monthly consumption and environmental stress, mental factors, and even eating spicy food or irritating foods or taking blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing drugs can all lead to delayed menstruation. If you are not pregnant, you can wait patiently without being nervous or anxious, because excessive worrying may also lead to delayed menstruation. |
