Are you still tanned after applying sunscreen? Remember these five points

Are you still tanned after applying sunscreen? Remember these five points

Why do some people get darker even though they apply sunscreen every day? I hope you can check the following five reasons.

1. Choose sunscreen

To see if your sunscreen can prevent tanning, look at the SPF and PA of the product. We need to protect against ultraviolet rays. If the sunscreen packaging only shows the SPF value without the PA value, or the PA value is low, it cannot effectively prevent tanning, but can only prevent sunburn. Although some products are marked with broad-spectrum sun protection, they do not have a PA index, and their ability to prevent tanning may be relatively weak. You can choose a suitable sunscreen according to the situation. For daily life, you can choose SPF25, PA+, for outdoor activities, choose SPF30, PA+++, and for the seaside and exposed environments, choose SPF50, PA++++.

2. Wear sunscreen

Pay attention to the amount and technique of applying sunscreen. For sunscreen with strong fluidity, you may need a coin-sized amount. For sticky sunscreen, 1 to 2 cm is usually enough. If the amount is too little, the protective ability will be weak. When applying sunscreen, we should push and apply it in the same direction to facilitate the sunscreen to form a film and protect the skin like a protective film. Don't rub it repeatedly in circles, as it will easily become muddy.

3. Not reapplying sunscreen in time

When going out, it is best to choose a waterproof product and reapply it every one or two hours. If you sweat a lot, you need to reapply more frequently. If you are concerned about the sun protection ability, you can apply it once, wait for a while, and then apply it a second time.

4. Sun protection does not equal sunscreen

No matter how comprehensive the sunscreen is, it cannot guarantee that you will not get tanned 100%. Hard sun protection methods such as parasols, hats, and sunglasses are better than sunscreen.

5. No relief after sun exposure

If your skin does not turn red after sun exposure, you can just use simple skin care products. If redness or stinging occurs, it is recommended that you first spray or apply cold compress, and then apply some repairing cream.

In short, you need to solve the above five points according to your own situation, so that you no longer have to worry about sun protection and can spend the summer easily.
