What to do if pregnant women have bad stomachs? Diet is very important

Since the body of a pregnant woman will undergo great changes during pregnancy and gastrointestinal discomfort is only temporary, it is recommended that pregnant women start with their own eating habits, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, try not to eat difficult-to-digest foods, and increase physical exercise.

1. Eat regularly. Many people cannot control themselves when it comes to eating. They eat a lot when they see something delicious, and skip a meal when something doesn't suit their taste. This can easily cause gastric motility disorders, which in turn causes hyperfunction of the nerve plexus in the stomach wall, promoting the secretion of gastric juice, and over time, it will cause gastritis or gastric ulcers. Therefore, you should eat at regular times and in regular amounts, and never overeat.

2. Start with your daily routine. At the very least, three meals a day should be eaten at regular times and in regular quantities. It is best to set a schedule for yourself and then strictly adhere to it. This will also affect sleep time, because some people who go to bed late and get up late eat breakfast and lunch together. This habit must be changed. It does not mean that eating a midnight snack can make up for it, because although the human biological clock can move forward and backward, it is always within a certain range and cannot make much difference. If you don't believe it, you can look up some information about the human body's biological clock.

3. Generally speaking, people with poor gastric digestion function will feel full after eating a little, and will feel bloated if they eat a little more. Especially if they eat more at night, the bloating in the stomach will affect their sleep. Hard, fibrous foods are difficult to digest. Therefore, it is recommended to eat small meals frequently. If it is not time for a main meal yet, you can supplement some food, but not too much. You must remember that this is not a main meal and you still have to eat your main meal as normal. The food should be soft and loose. It is not advisable to eat too much tough and refreshing food because these things are the most difficult to digest. It is best to drink soup before meals, as drinking it after meals will increase digestion difficulties. It is best not to eat two or three hours before going to bed, otherwise it will easily affect your sleep. If you feel hungry, drink more water.

4. People with stomach problems should quit smoking, drinking, coffee, strong tea, carbonated drinks (soda), spicy and sour foods, and other irritating foods, as these are the most harmful to the stomach. The stomach likes dryness and hates coldness, so cold drinks and ice cream must be avoided. Hot food is better. This is a test for everyone, especially in the hot summer season. There are two kinds of drinks that you should drink more of, one is milk, the other is hot water. Milk can form a protective film for the stomach. It is best to drink a glass of milk first thing in the morning before eating. Drink more water, especially hot water, because in most cases people will mistake dehydration for hunger.

5. Keep a happy spirit. The health of the stomach has a lot to do with mental factors. Excessive mental stimulation, such as long-term tension, fear, sadness, depression, etc., can cause dysfunction of the cerebral cortex, promote vagus nerve dysfunction, lead to spasmodic contraction of the gastric wall blood vessels, and then induce gastritis and gastric ulcers. Therefore, you should be in a good mood, have a cheerful personality, be strong-willed, and be good at freeing yourself from difficult situations.
