Leucorrhea with blood

Leucorrhea with blood

Leucorrhea with blood is also called bloody leucorrhea, which means that the secretions are mixed with blood. We should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer, but benign diseases such as cervical cysts, cervicitis, submucosal uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding due to functional imbalance, and vaginitis in the elderly can also cause bloody leucorrhea. Bloody leucorrhea caused by IUD placement is also more common.

Clinical symptoms of bloody vaginal discharge

The main symptom is usually blood in the secretions, with the number of blood bars varying.

1. Cervical cyst: Cervical cyst is one of the main manifestations of chronic cervicitis. The clinical symptoms are yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea with odor, leucorrhea with blood, etc.

2. Acute vaginitis: The clinical symptoms are excessive vaginal discharge, which is yellow watery or pus-like and has an odor. When the infection is more serious, spotty vaginal bleeding may occur.

3. Moderate to severe cervical inflammation: Clinical symptoms include excessive vaginal discharge that turns yellow, becomes sticky and has an odor, accompanied by vulvar itching, bleeding during sexual intercourse, lumbar pain, menstrual pain, etc.

4. Vaginitis in the elderly: Clinical symptoms include increased female secretions in a light yellow color, and in more severe cases, there may be bloody and leucorrhea.

5. Cervical cancer: vaginal bleeding or pink vaginal discharge after sexual intercourse.

6. Endometrial cancer: The clinical symptoms are non-menstrual bleeding, which may be more or less. Premenopausal women may have heavy menstrual flow and longer duration, while postmenopausal women may experience postmenopausal bleeding.

7. Cervical adenocarcinoma: Because the tumor stimulates the bilateral fallopian tube epithelial cells to exude fluid and cause necrosis of the diseased tissue, the secretions are intermittent, bright red liquid, and intermittently discharge from the vagina.

8. Vaginal cancer and uterine cancer: Most of the "secretions" metabolized are characterized by a large amount of secretions, which are like rice washing water, turbid and have a foul odor. Sometimes they are mixed with blood and are light pink in color and in large amounts.

Leucorrhea blood test

1. Gardnerella test: It is a way to check for bacterial infection of vaginal diseases.

2. pH value test: A normal woman's vagina is acidic, which can prevent the growth of bacteria. Once a woman develops a bacterial infection, her pH may rise.

3. Amine test: Amine test is carried out on women's secretions. If the reaction is positive, bacterial infection of vaginitis can be identified.

4. Fungus and Trichomonas test: If there is " " on the test sheet, it means that the patient has been infected with Trichomonas or fungi.

5. Leucorrhea cleanliness inspection: The leucorrhea cleanliness inspection is generally divided into four degrees. Grades Ⅰ to Ⅱ are normal, and grades Ⅲ to Ⅳ indicate abnormal secretions.

Diagnosis of bloody vaginal discharge

1. There is blood in the leucorrhea, the menstrual flow increases, and the menstrual period is long but the cycle is normal. It may be uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, or functional uterine bleeding. In addition, those who have an intrauterine device may also have increased menstrual flow.

2. Irregular menstrual cycle with bloody leucorrhea. It is often treated with functional uterine bleeding, but endometrial cancer must be eliminated first.

3. Long-term persistent leucorrhea with blood. It is common in malignant tumors of male reproductive organs, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc.

4. There is blood in the leucorrhea after menopause. Pregnant women are often concerned about pregnancy-related diseases, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc.; postmenopausal women are more likely to have malignant tumors.

5. There is blood in the leucorrhea after sexual intercourse. Common cervical inflammation, cervical cysts, cervical cancer or submucosal uterine fibroids.

6. Vaginal bleeding with bloody leucorrhea. It is often considered to be advanced cervical cancer or endometrial cancer with infection.

7. Intermittent fresh blood in the vagina and leucorrhea. There is a possibility of primary cervical adenocarcinoma.

8. There is blood in the leucorrhea before and after menstruation. It is usually caused by ovarian abnormalities, but it may also be endometriosis.
