Hot and cold sweats in early pregnancy

Hot and cold sweats in early pregnancy

As we all know, women's body temperature will be a little higher in the early stages of pregnancy, which is very normal, and there is no need to panic for many people. So, will the temperature fluctuate in the early stages of pregnancy? Next, let’s take a look at it.

Will I feel hot and cold and sweat during early pregnancy?

It depends on the person, some people can. Under normal circumstances, the normal human body temperature is 36-37℃ (measured under the armpit). The body temperature of pregnant women will rise in the early stages of pregnancy, and after the second trimester (13 weeks of pregnancy), the body temperature will return to the original normal body temperature.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the body temperature of pregnant women is between 36.9℃-37.2℃. If this high temperature period lasts for more than 21 days and there are no other abnormal reactions, no menstruation, or even early pregnancy reactions, it can generally be considered a sign of pregnancy. If the body temperature is high and low, it should be taken seriously, especially for patients with recurrent miscarriage, who should take certain effective measures in time.

After a woman becomes pregnant, her progesterone level rises. Generally, the body temperature of a woman in the follicular phase during ovulation is 36.5°C, and the body temperature will rise by 0.5°C during the luteal phase. It is a normal physiological phenomenon for pregnant women to have an elevated body temperature in the early stages of pregnancy. Pregnant women can pay attention to changes in their body temperature, which can be used to basically infer pregnancy. If abnormal changes in body temperature are found, they should go to the hospital for a physical examination in time to check for potential medical risks.

One of the symptoms of early pregnancy is elevated body temperature. During ovulation, the body temperature is around 37°C, and the elevated body temperature will continue until mid-pregnancy. This is mainly due to the transformation of growth hormone.

Generally speaking, a woman's body temperature during ovulation will change with the menstrual period. Around the time of menarche, the body temperature of a woman will remain at around 36.5°C under the action of estrogen, and then the body temperature will slowly drop, reaching the lowest point during ovulation. After ovulation or pregnancy, the body temperature will rise by 0.3-0.5°C due to the influence of estrogen. The body temperature returns to normal on the day before the next menstruation or when it comes.

The rise in body temperature in early pregnancy is because after ovulation in the uterus and ovaries, the egg produces progesterone and metabolizes estrogen, which can increase body temperature. If the egg is fertilized and pregnancy occurs, the progesterone will continue to metabolize estrogen, so the body temperature will be maintained at a higher level.

A woman's body temperature remains stable after pregnancy. If the human body temperature changes, it will remain within the range of 36.9℃--37.2℃. If the body temperature fluctuates, it may be a sign of corpus luteum deficiency. Insufficient corpus luteum can easily lead to miscarriage or infertility. When there is a drastic change in body temperature, it should be taken seriously. For pregnant women who have experienced miscarriage, they should go to the hospital for examination in time and take effective measures.

In addition, if a pregnant woman finds that her body temperature is abnormally high and she feels uncomfortable in the early stages of pregnancy, she should suspect that she has a fever. It is recommended that she go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time.
