What to do if you are not pregnant after 50 days of amenorrhea

Many people know that mothers will not have their periods during the first ten months after becoming pregnant, and their periods will only occur after they get older and reach menopause. Generally speaking, menstruation comes every month, unless the above conditions occur. Then why does menstruation stop when you are not pregnant and you are not old enough? What should I do if I am not pregnant after 50 days of menstruation?

What should I do if I haven't gotten pregnant after 50 days of amenorrhea?

If you have had regular menstruation in the past, had sex during the ovulation period, did not use any contraceptive methods, and have amenorrhea for 50 days, and if you use a pregnancy test stick or pregnancy test paper at home and do not find out that you are pregnant, it is best to go to the hospital to check your blood hCG. Blood hCG can confirm or eliminate the early pregnancy situation as soon as possible. After confirming pregnancy, you can check 6 estrogen items to see if there is any endocrine disorder. You can also do color ultrasound to see the thickness of the uterine wall. If it is around 0.8, you can use estrogen such as progesterone to regulate menarche. At the same time, pay attention to keeping a regular schedule and a balanced diet to avoid staying up late, which may cause endocrine disorders and irregular menstruation.

Why is menstruation irregular?

Long-term irregular and delayed menstruation may be due to functional uterine bleeding, commonly known as functional uterine bleeding.

The TCM pathogenesis of multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding includes:

⑴. Insufficient kidney essence: Insufficient kidney essence due to physical constitution, or early marriage and early childbearing, sexual exhaustion and loss of essence, too many miscarriages, etc., lead to insufficient essence and blood, and kidney qi deficiency. Yin deficiency generates internal fire, the heat burns the Chong and Ren meridians, and forces blood to flow abnormally, leading to multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding.

⑵, spleen and kidney yang deficiency: spleen and kidney yang deficiency due to constitution, or frequent sexual intercourse, long-term illness, diet and fatigue, etc. Spleen yang deficiency will lead to lack of control, while spleen yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire will lead to malnutrition of Chong and Ren meridians, resulting in multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding.

⑶. Blood stasis: Stagnation of liver qi causes poor blood circulation; or blood stasis caused by coldness causes blood stasis that blocks the Chong and Ren meridians in the uterus, preventing new blood from returning to the meridians, thus causing multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding. If blood stagnates inside the body for a long time, it will damage body fluids and burn blood vessels, leading to continuous bleeding.
