Don’t be embarrassed to talk about gynecological diseases, so that women can easily get rid of them

International Women's Day is coming again. On this holiday specially set aside for women, let us focus on women's health.

In this fast-paced society, health is easily neglected. As a woman, you should take care of yourself, understand the signals from your body, and then adjust yourself and take care of yourself. I also hope that male compatriots can understand more and show more concern than just drinking more hot water.

Next, let us learn about common female diseases, understand them more, care more, and take preventive measures.

Gynecological inflammation, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, gynecological tumors, etc. are all common gynecological diseases in women. Strengthening preventive health care on the basis of symptomatic treatment can significantly improve the treatment efficiency and shorten the patient's recovery time. Let's focus on inflammatory-related diseases first.

Due to the special anatomical structure of the female reproductive system, inflammation often occurs. Most of them are caused by infections such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, mycoplasma, and chlamydia. According to the location of the inflammation, vaginal, uterine, and pelvic inflammation are more common. The prevention of this type of inflammatory disease is first to pay attention to personal hygiene, but avoid vaginal douching, and secondly, prohibit sexual intercourse during menstruation and after uterine surgery. For treatment, different drugs will be used according to different pathogens, and you must follow the doctor's advice.

The most common type of vaginitis is trichomoniasis, which is caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. Its main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, which is thin and foamy, increased leucorrhea, and vulvar itching. If there is a mixed infection with other bacteria, the discharge will be purulent or smelly. The itching area is mainly between the vaginal opening and the vulva, or there may be burning pain, sexual intercourse pain, etc. If the urethral opening is infected, there may be frequent urination, urinary pain, and sometimes hematuria. The most important thing to prevent trichomoniasis is personal hygiene. Trichomonas can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, and can also be indirectly infected through public baths, swimming pools, bath towels, clothes, etc. Therefore, in the family, bathtubs and bath towels should be used by one person only, and they should be soaked in boiling water and 1:5000 potassium permanganate for 15 to 20 minutes regularly. It is best to dry towels and underwear in the sun after washing, and underwear during the infection period should be boiled for 5 to 20 minutes. Treatment requires both internal and external treatment. During treatment, the vulva needs to be kept clean to prevent secondary bacterial infection; spicy food and drinking are prohibited during the acute stage of the disease; sexual intercourse is prohibited, and the spouse needs to be treated together. Special attention should be paid to the fact that trichomonas vaginitis often recurs after menstruation. Therefore, even if the trichomonas test is negative after treatment, the leucorrhea test should still be performed after each menstruation. If the test is negative after three times, it can be considered cured.

Cervicitis can be divided into acute and chronic. Acute cervicitis is an acute inflammation caused by pathogens infecting the cervix, which is mainly seen in infected abortion, puerperal infection, cervical injury or vaginal foreign body infection. Chronic cervicitis is more common, and often occurs after childbirth, abortion or surgical injury to the cervix. Pathogens (mainly staphylococci, streptococci, Escherichia coli and anaerobic bacteria) invade and cause infection at this time. There are often no clinical manifestations of acute processes. The single-layer columnar epithelium of the cervical canal has poor anti-infection ability and is prone to infection. In addition, there are many folds in the endocervix, where pathogens hide. The infection is not easy to completely eliminate, and often forms chronic cervicitis, which manifests as cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical glandular cysts and endocervicitis that we have often heard of. The general symptoms are increased leucorrhea, yellow color and odor, accompanied by waist and abdominal distension, and vaginal itching, which seriously affects the normal work and life of the majority of female patients. Prevention of this type of disease includes avoiding damage to the cervix during delivery or by instruments, timely suturing of cervical lacerations after delivery, regular gynecological examinations for early detection and early treatment, attention to daily hygiene of the vulva and underwear, and correct sexual postures. Don't be afraid to seek medical treatment, as cervicitis has a high risk of canceration, so treatment should be started as early as possible.

Inflammation of the female upper reproductive tract (uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries) and its surrounding connective tissue and pelvic peritoneum is called pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common gynecological disease. The inflammation can be limited to one part or several parts at the same time. According to its pathogenesis, it can be clinically divided into acute and chronic. Acute inflammation may cause serious consequences such as diffuse peritonitis, sepsis and even septic shock. In the treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease, the dosage of antibiotics and the course of treatment must be sufficient to prevent the disease from prolonging to chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Chronic inflammation affects women's physical and mental health and causes pain to patients because it cannot be cured for a long time and recurs repeatedly. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the prevention and treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease. Pay attention to personal hygiene, such as avoiding sexual intercourse during menstruation and using clean menstrual pads; exercise, strengthen physical fitness and thoroughly treat acute pelvic inflammatory disease; avoid infection after intrauterine surgery, and do not have too frequent sexual activities.

The above diseases can be cured easily if you know about them and take preventive and therapeutic measures early. Don't be scared by the name of the disease. When you are diagnosed with a disease, you should follow the doctor's advice and not blindly follow folk remedies and secret prescriptions to delay the disease.
